• Biography

  Naomi was born in a small, rural village to Chad and Hannah Mason in the dead of winter. Her whole first year her parents feared they would lose their child due to illness. Somehow though the little girl survived and was soon growing to be a fine young one. When she had reached the age of 10 her parents unexpectedly had a son, Peter, born in spring. He was also a fine lad and the Mason's counted themselves lucky to have their little family. For a while all was well. They were farmers who kept to themselves, and they were happy.
  The winter of Naomi's thirteenth birthday their village was raided by soldiers. They had been hired by a noble lord to remove the infestation from his lands. This was the first time Nay knew Shifters were different from "normal" people. Outsiders considered them filth, something that couldn't be trusted... and so, with their homes destroyed, what was left of the village packed in wagons and left. They never found a permanent home again.
  At 15 years of age Naomi was showing great promise as both a Shifter and hunter. Her best friend Sara was not, yet the pair was inseparable. She would often drag the younger blonde off on crazy adventures sometimes disappearing for a day before rejoining their families in the caravan. On one of these adventures there was an accident. Naomi can't really remember what happened...
  She woke up alone, cold and afraid. Her clothes were torn and her face was bloody. Crawling to a stream near by... Had that been what Naomi wanted to show her? No, wait. the girl peers into the water. A fearful, pale reflection stares back at her. No. That's not me. Slowly blonde hair curls and turns a dark brunette, icy blue eyes change to green... I'm strong. I'll be fine.
  
  *After Sara's disappearance the caravan began to fall apart. Naomi had returned to them bloody and confused. She told a story of soldiers attacking. They had lost them but ended up being separated. Figuring Sara would follow Nay had run for home. After healing for about a week Naomi went out to search for her friend but the caravan had moved to far. About a week later the soldiers caught up and wiped out most of what was left of the Shifter clan. All of Sara's family perished. It is possible Naomi and Peter survived.
  
  **For clarification my character Naomi is actually Sara. When she was injured she made herself believe she was Naomi, someone she had always admired (and loved), so she wouldn't be afraid. Now it's been so long she has forgotten what she naturally looked like (blonde with blue eyes) and whole heartedly believes she is her friend.
