  (The following is a work in progress for a role play I'm working on. If anyone is interested in playing a character, all characters save for Hela is available.)
  
  The elements served the elementist when needed and for a while, they coexisted. A group of elementist started getting selfish and greedy and started misusing the elements. The Greater Elements stepped in as a protest, but greedy elementist took advantage of them... as a result there was a war. Element vs element and element vs elmentist. example Greater Elementals is has chosen to take human form and try to live in the human world but an experienced elementist could track them.
  To protect themselves, elements have touched humans. Element-touched humans act as decoys for elementists, making it harder for them to track the elements. The only way an elementist can bind an element is to learn their true name, so the elements have taken other names and closely guard their true names.. it would take an elementist to drain the complete essence of an element. And for stronger elements, it would take more than one elementist. At the least, if the elementist fails in draining the element, the element would be banished to their plane for a time until they completely recover. Elementalist are human and can die by conventional human means, although they can protect themselves with magic.
  
  The difference between an Elelementist, A shaman, and an element touched mortal:
  
  Elementist: An Elementalist is commonly human though some other races have been known to become elementist. Their main goal is to surpass the creators and be the rulers of the universe. Since a mortal can not contain the power of the elements themselves, they resort to binding elements to them or sealing their essence away in special jars.When binding an element, silver bonds appear on the wrist of the element that is bound. The bindings burn the element when they disobey orders.
  
  Shamans: Shamans are mortal creatures that work to strive a balance between mortals and the elements. When a shaman summons an element gold bindings usually appear on the elements wrist and disappear when released. A shaman never forces an element to work for them for it would cause disharmony.
  
  Element touched mortals: When an element decides to place a small fraction of their essence into a mortal, they become element touched. Most do not know that they have been touched. Once touched by an element, the essence stays with that mortal all their lives, and even get passed down to that mortals first born child until the element decides to collect their power back. Typically when an element takes back its essence it does not hurt the mortal but on rare cases the mortal is dependent on that essence to live, it could seriously harm the mortal. A small portion of mortals gains an ability based off the element that touched them.
  
  About the elements:
  In the beginning, the creators created the elements. The elements then worked together to create the earth. The creators say this and decided to create the mortal races, but under the conditions that the elements would not interfere with their development. For thousands of years, the elements abide by this rule. One greater element saw how pathetic the first mortal race was, the humans. There were freezing during times of cold and had no way of cooking, or how to dress. That element talked to the other five and began to give the mortals knowledge on how to work with each element, and to work the land so the humans could live a better quality of life. The creators checked with the mortals and was angered by what they saw. When asked which one of the elements was responsible, none gave a response and as a result, all the elements were cursed. No element would ever truly be at peace, there would always be war between element and human. The elements will be at war with each other. The elements will never choose who it will be happy with, fate will always decide for you. So this was the head creator decree. In a moment of rare compassion, the head creator wished both the elements and humans luck in their endeavors.
  The elements can not choose their own mates and can be mated off to an opposite element, a construct, a creature from the mortal plane, or even on very rare occasions their own element. Typically elements do not reproduce as human do. There are six element types in all: Light, Dark, Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. Each element has their unique trait while in human form.
  
  
  Fire: They are extremely extroverted and charming, but they are also very short tempered. In their natural state fire elementals vary in appearance—they usually manifest as coiling serpentine forms made of smoke and flame, but some fire elementals take on shapes more akin to humans. In human form fire elementals have red hair. They are extremely extroverted and charming, but they are also very short tempered. Being vulnerable to cold and water, a fire elemental is drawn to hot places, like forges, or volcanoes, or any other place that draws extreme heat. While in human form the fire elemental will favor jobs that most humans find to stressful due to the heat such as blacksmiths. Of all the elementals, it is fire that hates being shackled down by elementist, preferring their freedom over serving. The more masculine fire elementals are called drakes and the females are called the spirit of the hearth. In combat Fire elementals prefer hand to hand combat, preferring to burn their victims up close rather than afar.
  Pyrokinesis - create, control and manipulate fire, flame and heat.
  Fire Breathing - breathe out flames.
  Geo-Thermokinesis - manipulate lava, magma, and volcanoes.
  Heliokinesis - manipulate and control the sun and sunlight.
  Inflammation - burn things.
  Melting - heat molecules to melt things.
  Plasmakinesis - can control plasma.
  Pyrotechnics - create fireworks.
  Self-Detonation - explode self and reform.
  Thermokinesis - create, control and manipulate heat.
  Fraxikinesis - manipulate burnt matter.
  Golem Creation - make golems out of inanimate materials like rocks, wood, plants, magma, etc.
  
  Air: Like fire elementals they are very extroverted and charming, but unlike fire they are very patient. Air expresses the ability to intellectualize, to appreciate the differences in people, accept different perspectives The showing of emotions is something that is highly frowned upon within their society. An Air element is a communicator, they are positive and inspiring, change quickly and are adaptable by nature. They are open-minded, tolerant, and non-judgmental and are good at making people open up to their creativity. Of the four elements the Air element is the element that would fare worst in its pure form if this were possible - because without Fire, Water and Earth, life would be one long and useless eternal study with a changing focus on philosophy, religion, architecture, endangered species, pollution etc. where no one would ever take any action in life at all.
  The Air element resembles the fast mental energy and is the most observant and forward-looking of the four elements. Air elementals are usually seen as writers, as broadcasters, or something that would let them communicate with a large group often.
  
  Aerokinesis -manipulate the air, wind, and gas.
  Aeroportation - teleport using air/wind currents.
  Air Mimicry - transform into a cloud of gas, fog, or mist.
  Atmokinesis - manipulate the weather by mixing water, fire, earth, air, and lightning/electricity.
  Deoxygenation - suck up all the oxygen from a place.
  Lung Adaptation - breath anywhere
  Wind Generation - create blasts of air.
  Divine Winds Manipulation - create and control heavenly winds.
  Dark Wind Manipulation - create and control eerie winds.
  Golem Creation - make golems out of inanimate materials like rocks, wood, plants, magma, etc.
  
  Earth: They are introverted and very caring by nature. Those that doesn't know any better might confuse earth to be lazy when they are conserving energy. Though an earth elemental move slowly, they are a relentless opponent, arguably the strongest of all the elements physically. They are mostly found in gardens, and farms as caretakers, preferring to be close to the earth while taking a job while in human form.
  Geokinesis - control, manipulate, and reshape the earth at will.
  Crystallogenesis - manipulate minerals and crystals.
  Dehydration - absorb/repel all water.
  Ferrokinesis... manipulate metal at will.
  Fraxikinesis - manipulate burnt matter.
  Geo-Thermokinesis - manipulate, control, and create lava, magma and volcanoes.
  Golem Creation - make golems out of inanimate materials like rocks, wood, plants, magma, etc.
  Naturakinesis - manipulate and control the powerful forces of nature itself.
  Psammokinesis - can control and manipulate sand.
  Terraportation - teleport via the earth and earth-based materials.
  Chlorokinesis - generate and control plants.
  Dendrokinesis - manipulate wood
  Ecological Empathy - feel the state of nature.
  Plant Empathy - sense the feelings of plants.
  Florakinesis - create and manipulate flowers
  Mycokinesis - create and manipulate fungi
  Nature Enhancement - heal nature
  Plant Growth - accelerate plant growth
  Dehydration - absorb water.
  
  Water: They come across as antisocial due to their quiet nature, but they are just introverted. Not much is known about the element of water for they are rarely ever summoned due to their limitation of not being able to be too far away from where they were summoned for too long.
  Hydrokinesis - manipulate and control liquid water and mold it into any desired shape or form.
  Aquatic Adaptation - adapted to underwater living.
  Aquatic Respiration - breathe underwater.
  Dehydration - absorb water.
  Hydroportation - teleport across short or long distances through liquid water.
  Water Mimicry - turn into liquid water.
  Holy Water Manipulation - create, manipulate and control graceful waters.
  Dark Water Manipulation - create, manipulate and control evil and dangerous waters.
  Cryokinesis - control ice, snow and other forms of frozen water, freezing - lower the temperature in kinetic atoms to freezing temperatures, ice beam - shoot beams of freezing energy.
  Freeze Breath - freeze things in solid ice.
  Frigokinesis - control snow either as precipitation or already on the ground.
  Golem Creation - make golems out of inanimate materials like rocks, wood, plants, magma, etc.
  
  
  Light and Dark: Out of all the elements, light and dark elementals are sought out the most. Being around either will elongate a mortal's lifespan and slow down their aging process. Although they are very rarely mated to one another, light and dark elementals are almost always around one another.
  Light elementals have a child-like curiosity about the world around them. They love exploring and learning new things, but hate violence and try to avoid fighting. Out of all the elements, Light elements are the most social.
  Dark elements tend to look at the world through jaded eyes. Light and dark are usually very protective of one another.

  Energy Blast - create blasts of energy.
  
  Force-Field Generation - create protective shields of solid photons.
  
  Laser Emission - bend light wavelengths to create lasers.
  
  Light Absorption -absorb the light around you.
  
  Light Generation - emit blinding light or glow in the dark.
  
  Photoportation - Teleport by using photons.
  
  Projective Invisibility - turn other things invisible, including the element itself
  
  Evil Banish - Rid and banish all spirits of evil and black magic.
  
  Electrical Absorption - absorb electricity.

  Flight Manipulation by controlling the gravity around the user and other objects.

  Dark:
  
  Umbrakinesis - can manipulate and control darkness or shadows.
  
  Animated Shadow - Animate one's shadow.
  
  Light Absorption - block out light in an area.
  
  Night Vision - see in the dark.
  
  Sacred Darkness - create holy darkness.
  
  Shadow Camouflage - be unseen in shadows.
  
  Shadow Mimicry - become a shadow.
  
  Umbrageous Teleportation - teleport via the shadows and darkness.
  
  Space-Time Manipulation
  
  Black Hole Creation to suck things into oblivion.
  
  Gravitational Downforce increases gravity drastically in a certain area.
  
  Immobility by using gravity to adhere oneself to the ground.
  
  Flight Manipulation by controlling the gravity around the user and other objects.

  Different Term used in the elemental world
  
  Shard: A shard is an element that has been drained or nearly drained of all their essence. Usually cold and rock like, a shard usually means the death of an element when not returned to its source or has another element give it some of its essence
  
  Shade: Shades are elements that believe that peace between elements and mortal creatures like humans cannot be achieved and is bent in destroying humans, and any element that stands in the way of their goal.
  
  Radicals: Humans that believe that the earth is for humans and humans alone and is bent on destroying all other races that inhabits the earth.
  
  Heretics: A group of non human races that see humans as inferior and detest the way humans abuse the earth. While they are unfriendly to humans, the group will not attack them unless attacked first.
  
  The Cult of the Eternal Night: A cult of humans and non-humans that worship vampires
  
  The Cult of Eternal Moonlight: A cult of humans and non- humans that worship weres(such as werewolves, werecats, ect)
  
  Dull: an insult towards light elementals
  
  Dry: An insult towards water elementals
  
  Still: An insult towards air elementals
  
  Barren: an insult towards earth elementals
  
  Cold: an insult towards fire elementals
  
  Bright: an insult towards dark elementals
  
  Prime: Primes are the leaders of the elements, there is one prime for each element. The six known primes are Jhol/Hela, P’imeä/Johan, Água/Maria, Brand/John, Jordklo’de/Amy , Oras/Noah . On the surface, they all get along with one another. The Primes meet twice a year at a summit, once on the summer equinox and once on the winter equinox, and emergency meetings when needed.
  
  Fractal: An offspring of an element. Can be produced asexually or by combining a fractal with a mate. It is unknown if an element mortal race hybrid can be made. Once an element is mated, it can no longer reproduce asexually.
  
  Wraith: an element that has become addicted to energy and drains it from any source it can, similar to a vampire with blood.

  The prime of Light, Jhol: Also known as Hela is the newly appointed Prime of Light after the former was entrapped and drained by the same Elementist that bound her. While was bound she was ordered to destoy an entire kingdom. At feeling guilty at the loss of life that was unnecessary, Jhol hunted down the reincarnated souls of that kingdom and with the aid of the other primes formed the Mystic Trees, a kingdom that she rules to the best of her ability, alongside her mate. Jhol prefers to carry no weapons, not liking to draw attention to her. Preferring to take a more human form, Jhol has milk chocolate skin, dark down eyes, stands about 5’9 when choosing to look like an adult, 5’ when looking like a child, and varying length white hair. Jhol is known to be one of the friendliest towards the mortal races, despite having being treated wrongly by them. Jhol was close friends with the prime of fire Brand though they have not spoken in a few centuries.
  
  The prime of Fire, Brand: At the moment it is unknown what form the prime of fire known as Brand takes. He is known to be short tempered, vain, and a bit self-centered. Brand rules over the Land of Eternal flames, a land that was formed with the help of all the primes. Was a good friend with Jhol, though they have not spoken in a few centuries.
  
  The prime of Earth, Jordklo’de: That the moment it is unknown what form the prime of Earth known as, Jordklo’de takes. She is known to be the most patient of all the elements. She rules over oio’bloomien Arda, a place that was formed with the help of all primes.
  
  The prime of Dark, P’imeä: That the moment it is unknown what form the prime of Dark takes. Some confuse his knowledge for arrogance though he gets along well with the prime of light and the prime of air. Rules over the Land of Eternal shadows, a land that was help formed with the help of all the primes.
  
  The prime of Water, Água: That the moment it is unknown what form the prime of Water takes. Was a good friend with the prime of Air though they have not spoken in a few centuries. She is known to be the most compassionate of all the elements. Rules over the Temple of Renewal, a land that was helped form with the help of all the primes.
  
  The prime of Air, Oras: That the moment it is unknown what form the prime of Air takes. Was a good friend with the prime of water though they have not spoken in a few centuries. Is known to be the most active. Rules over the Temple of Knowledge, a land that was formed with the help of all the primes.
  
  
  
  The Betrayer: A former shaman that befriended all the Primes, binding them all to his biding and draining the former Prime of Light. Although he is over a hundred years old, he has the appearance of that in his late 40’s, the early 50s. His main goal is to become stronger by draining all the elements so that he can overthrow the creators as the ruler of the world though his reasons for this are unknown. H
