• The physical...

  Haenir has a boyishness about him, but not enough to appear childish. He's 'pretty' - not handsome, but neither is he overly feminine. He's more or less a string-bean. His hair is in a perpetual state of messiness and he seems to always be covered in some sort of dust, ink, or some combination of the two. He has a not-so-rare pigmentation mutation thanks to his Icelandic roots that gives him a set of freckles to go with his dark hair. Haenir is slight of frame and not terribly tall. Regarding his attire, he tends to have most of his clothes tailored to fit him because the second-hand clothing that he has the most access to never seems to fit! He is a fan of waistcoats. One might never know he is missing part of a leg unless closely observing him as he walks... or if he takes his prosthetic off! At times, especially while working, he dons a small pair of spectacles which are kept on a chain about his neck because they seem to perpetually be falling right off of the tip of his narrow nose.
  
  He has a suspiciously fae look about him but insists that he is only a human and appears to be genuine in this claim, as he never appears to use any sort of magic of any kind. His features are slightly pointed, not sharp but 'fine'. When he smiles - which he does quite often, usually nervously - gold teeth on the left upper front of his mouth can be seen, apparently an additional point of damage from whatever took his leg and gave him the scar on his lip.

• Personality

  Generally speaking, Haenir is an introverted, quiet fellow. He is kind-hearted and will go to great lengths to aid or assist total strangers, all while saying very little. Part of his quiet is due to his stuttering and stammering, an issue that cropped up due to nervousness about his accent which was VERY strong at one point. The stutter itself is worse with some people than it is with others and seems to crop up at random. Despite all of this, he has a great big smile and enjoys spending one-on-one time with friendly company, though crowds and louder settings alarm him to some degree. Though it's hard to upset Haenir greatly, the most direct way of doing so would be to assume superiority over him and tell him what to do, aka bossing him around! He hates this!
  
  Overall, he is pleasant but quiet company and loves to help others. He spends much of his time making and binding books, including the printing, gluing, and cutting of paper. When not up to this, he can often be found in libraries, reading what others have written or doodling in the margins of one of his own. He is not a writer, but works on commission, and also cuts and binds journals and sketchbooks. Haenir is also something of a tinkerer, known to break machinery just as often as he does fix or build it.
