• Description

  

  -Body Type- Zorayda is mildly overweight for her frame, which is itself fairly petite for a lioness. Everything about her is rounded and friendly--even her eyes, ears, chin, paws, and wings.
  
  -Physical Traits- Starting from nose to tail… Zorayda’s muzzle is fairly short and rounded, as are her cheekbones and eyes. Her eyes are dichromatic, with four black spots marking the underside of the right eye. She has a mane of sorts that starts from between her shoulder blades and gets longer until it hangs loosely over the right side of her face. Her left ear sports two silver hoop earrings on the outer edge of the ear. Her paws have a strange, splotched marking on each of them that vary in how high they reach, though none of these markings go past halfway up the leg. Her wings are a soft gray and resemble a snowy owl’s rounded wings, which also makes them silent in flight. Her belly is fairly rotund, though not morbidly obese, and each of her joints has a padding that makes it tough to see any pointed joints. Her tail ends in a gray tuft and has two silver hoops encircling the base of the tuft.
  
  -Coloring- Zorayda’s main color is a rich indigo, leaning more on the purple side of the spectrum. The markings as specified above under her right eye are black, as are her nose and claws. She lacks the lighter coloration at her muzzle and above/below her eyes, though her chest/underbelly is a light gray color. Her left eye is a bright sky blue, while the right looks as if it is blind--white cornea with a slightly off-white iris/pupil that has no distinctive ‘pupil’. She usually keeps this eye covered with her mane. Her wings are a softer gray, a shade darker than her underbelly (this matches her tail tuft color). Her four paws are a few shades darker blue than her left eye, and the paw pads underneath are a deep, almost black, gray. Her claws are black in color.
  
  -Distinguishing Marks- Several. She’s purple, she has giant wings. Her right eye is distinctively different from the other. She has black spots under said eye. Her lack of coloration on her muzzle/eye area. The blue splotched paws. Lastly, the silver earrings/tail rings she sports.

• Personality

  Zorayda is full of life and love for others. She is fun-loving, bright, and cheerful--namely, an extrovert. She gains comfort in company and loves attention or giving others attention. She can be a little bit absent-minded at times, but she nearly always means well. Zor is passionate, loving, and easy to make friends with, and has a very big protective streak of those she thinks needs this protection. She hates bullies and cruelty and can't stand to be disliked by anyone.
  
  Underlying her cute and quirky persona is that of a deep thinker and intelligent lioness. She is original and creative, coming up with solutions to problems that are innovative and useful. She delights in having debates with others or trying to see things from another view and tries to keep an open mind. Zorayda honestly just likes to hang around family and friends and have a grand old time. She's not that great of a huntress, but she's an amazing cub sitter, confidante, and friend. When she gets bored, she can be seen taking to the air and enjoying the wind and sky. Anything having to do with the beauty of nature makes her happy.
  
  In the company of strangers, Zor is sweet and polite and very charming in her own ditzy way. She is closed off about her secrets, however, and keeps the topics to small talk. Around others she likes or acquaintances, Zor lets go a bit and jokes a bit more, flirts a little with the opposite gender, and becomes the life of the party. With trusted or loved ones, she is all of the above and more--and with very few, she will share her dark secrets, fears, or insecurities. It is a mark of true love from Zor to have her speak to you about her worries or sadness, since she normally hides this from everyone. She has been close with a few others in romance, but as of yet has no idea what she wants in love. She sometimes thinks about this and gets a bit down on herself, thinking that it's something wrong with her that makes it impossible to find a mate to settle down with.
  
  Zor's emotions run wild when extreme. In joy, she's loud and infectiously mirthful. There is nobody else who can light up the room quite like she can when she's in a great mood. In sadness, once her visage of false happiness is cracked, overruns and she breaks down into a sobbing mess. It takes a while to put her back together from this state. Though not exactly vain, Zor is easily hurt by insults to her appearance or skills. She will sulk or pout and doubt herself after any insults.
  
  When angry, it is a sight to behold--not because she's the scariest lioness, but because it's so abnormal to see her so angry. Zor always tries to be optimistic, give others the benefit of the doubt--but when at her breaking point, she screams, roars, and flies into a rage that is loud and frightening. She will almost never, ever hurt someone physically, however, unless she is forced to do so.
  
  Zorayda believes that there is good in everyone, even if it is hidden deep within. She is very optimistic (some say overly so) and always finds the silver lining in any situation. She will always protect her friends and keep them close. She fears losing loved ones, either by death or by them leaving her. She hates toxic or hateful people and will have nothing to do with them--however, her beliefs clash and cause inner turmoil when one of her friends begins to act this way.
  
  Zorayda's flying skills aren't in speed, but in agility and acrobatics. She can dodge, weave, loop-de-loop, dive... you name it, she can do it. Her magic isn't entirely honed or perfected for battle, though her flight and long-range abilities work well together. With a bit of experience or training, however, she could become very skilled in battles.
  
  Zor is very happy and charming, making friends easily. This makes others protective of her or eager to be close to her, which in turn gives her the energy and emotional stability she so craves in the company of others. She gets along in crowds easily--in fact, she loves being in crowds. She likes the company of others one-on-one, as well. She can turn on this charm sometimes to get out of very bad situations.
  
  She is emotional and passionate--which is sometimes good, sometimes bad. She gets hurt feelings easily and sulks when this happens. She bottles up the things that hurt her until finally it builds up enough for her visage to crack, and when this happens she will always need a close friend to help patch her up. Zor goes through cycles of this--happiness and joy, depression, anger, and then back to joy again. She can be a bit extreme, almost to the point of bipolar disorder, but not quite to that level. She's more just extremely colorful and interesting to be around.
  
  Zorayda's loyalty to her friends or family can be a detriment to her, as well. She will give all of herself for those she loves, even if being manipulated. She is easily guilted by others and blames herself for a lot of things that go wrong. She will react to guilt first by lashing out, then apologizing over and over for things that go bad, even if it's obvious to others that she was not the cause of it. Zorayda cherishes her friends and cannot imagine being betrayed by any of them--ironically leaving her open to exactly this scenario. Her loyalty could also potentially lead to passionate rage and fury if given the right circumstances. Because of her deep love of those she is close to, she would go blind with anger if something happened to them. How deep this anger can go, nobody knows as of yet...

• Biography

  -Birthplace and Childhood-Zorayda was too young to remember her birth family, so this part of her history is unknown to her. She was taken in by a pride of lions that had no special talents such as her own. At first, they wanted to leave her because of these strange powers and because of her abnormal wings... but the king insisted that they take her in, because he could not abandon a little cub such as she. This proved to be a good decision later on. As she grew up, she learned to fly from the birds in the lands, which she befriended. To present day, she refuses to hunt any fowl and instead goes for land animals. One day, a threat came to the pride--a rival pride that was smaller but renowned for their battling skills. Using her darkness ability, Zorayda saved her pride from certain death and was praised by the pride's king. But when he died a few years later, his heir, who had been angry Zorayda was ever taken in, kicked her out as a rogue. She was forced to learn to hunt on her own and survive, which thankfully was easy because of her wings.
  
  -Family-She does not remember her family, nor why she was given away; she does have vague memories of a large lion male with a white mane, carrying her in his mouth. Zor often wonders if her family is still out there...
  
  -Love-When Zorayda found out that there were other beings with magical talent scattered across the land, she was overjoyed and thought that she could find a mate among them. Though she did have a few romances here and there, though, she never found anyone she wanted to settle with.
  
  -To present day-Zorayda has found a pride to stay with, all of whom have magic in their veins. She has made friends and considers this pride her family, though she often misses that old king from the pride in her childhood.

• Abilities

  -Primary Ability- Light manipulation, particularly moonlight. Zorayda has the power to form light into different objects or even take it away completely. She hasn’t used her power much to fight, so she only really knows a few tricks with it: sucking light away to plunge everything into darkness within about a quarter of a mile radius, creating physical, tightly packed ‘bolts’ of light that can be shot off with extreme speed, and making monochromatic light images that don’t have any special abilities. When using this power, her right ‘blind’ eye glows faintly white. This power may be built upon within certain roleplays.
  
  -Secondary Ability- Her wings obviously allow her to fly at will. However, this ability is limited to her physical capabilities, which are generally average or below. She is also vulnerable to wing injuries. Zorayda isn’t a fast or a particularly strong flier, but she is somewhat agile in flight. She is also good at endurance flights, making her a moderately good scout.
  
  -Tertiary Ability- As of yet, her tertiary ability has not manifested itself, though it may have something to do with sunlight instead of moonlight.
