• Biography

  Jamie only lives, or lived with her dad. She's a daughter of the greek goddess of magic and crossroads, Hecate and a British historian, James River. James lived with Jamie in London until a manticore attacked her when she was nine. James knew about the camp in New York, he didn't want Jamie to go there, but just in case something happens, she had to be safe. So they moved to New York and he never let her out alone again. Jamie didn't fit in in New York. Trouble followed her everywhere and weird things kept happening around her. She never had any friends. When Jamie was 11, her dad found a girlfriend, Ellie. She was always nice to Jamie and treated her like her own daughter. A year later, Ellie and James got engaged. Jamie was happier than ever before, the idea of a normal family, it made her feel complete. As if it couldn't get even better, on Jamie's 14th birthday at dinner, Ellie annonced she was pregnant. The wedding plans, of course, had to stop. The wedding was planned 9 months after Ellie found out she was pregnant and they didn't want to hurry up, so they decided to get married when the baby turns three months. A few months later, Jamie was coming back from school when she saw smoke coming from the street they lived in. She ran there, hoping it was not their building that was on fire. When she got closer, she saw that it actually was their building that was on fire. The smoke was flying out of windows only on one floor, only from one flat. Jamie's heart skipped a beat and her face filled with terror when she found out it was her flat that was on fire. Somehow, she fought her way through the firefighters, ran up the stairs to the 4th floor, screaming for her dad, hoping he was not there. She entered the flat, looked inside all the rooms. Neither James nor Ellie were there, until she looked into the kitchen. She saw a familiar figure laying on the floor and a woman leaning over him. The man on the floor, unconscious was her dad, but the woman was not Ellie. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing here? Don't just stand there, help him!" She shouted at the woman. She was still leaning over James. "He promised me. He swore I was the one and only. Such a short mortal life and he can't even keep a promise for this long. I won't stand that. I couldn't stand that." Jamie didn't understand. "Who are you?" She asked. The woman looked her straight in the eyes. "I'm your mother. Now get out of here, I still need you." The woman said and disappeared. Jamie ran to her dad's body, crying but when the table fell down, she shaked her head and ran down, out of the building and far, far away. She didn't have anything, or anyone left. The only thing she had was her bag with a kit kat bar, her keys, her phone, three dollars, tissues and a pocket knife. She didn't know anyone else in New York and Ellie wasn't picking up her phone. So she just ran, she had no idea where was she going. On her way, she encountered cyclopses, manticores, hellhounds and even a hydra. All alone, scared and starving, only with a steel pocket knife, she somehow survived. In her last fight with a hellhound, she was near the strawberry fields. She knew she wasn't going to survive. She had no energy left and her four inch knife didn't hurt the hydra at all, even though she was putting every single bit of energy left into stabbing it into one of its necks. Jamie was dodging the hydra's attacks, she was not even standing, she was crawling on the grass, to a pine tree. The hydra was about to make its final deadly attack Jamie couldn't dodge or avoid in any way. She crawled to the pine tree, trying to hide behind it, even though she knew it isn't going to help her in any way. She knew she was going to die there. The hydra opened one of its mouths and it was going to grab and eat Jamie at high speed. It hit its head into an invisible wall instead. It couldn't get through. Jamie took the chance and ran. Well, crawled, as far as she could. Her vision was very blurry, but she saw some people running to her. They took her to the infirmary where she spent a few days before she fully recovered. When she got out, at her first lunch, she got claimed by Hecate. Somebody then sat down next ho her and explaind how things in Camp Half Blood were going. It was the end of the war with Gaea. She was told all about the Titan war and the Gaea war too. She got incredibly mad and she said that she was not staying in the camp. She didn't want to be a slave for the Olympus, just save the gods everytime they need, with nothing in return, but suffering, pain and death. She was told she can't go, she has to learn how to defense herself, at least. She took out a knife, a celestial bronze one she got in the infirmary from an Apollo kid as an exchange for her pocket knife, and started threatening to kill everyone if they didn't let her go. She was clutching her knife and she cried out everything she went through in the past days, her father's death, how Hecate burned her home down just because she was jealous and then left Jamie in a burning flat and all the monsters she fought and Hecate didn't even move an eye. Then she broke down, crying and threw the knife away. That night, she moved into the Hecate cabin and she was a whole new person. She hated everyone and she had nothing to lose. She started practising fighting with daggers and most importantly, she started discovering her powers. She turned her hair from brown to blue. Now she's fifteen, she still has her british accent, she's banned from going on quests and she's considered the official camp weirdo. "One day", she swore, "one day, when I'll have someplace to go, I'll run away and I'll get mine."
