• Biography

  Erriel was born to his Elven mother, Merilnel, and her human lover. She couldn't bear the grief of watching him age, knowing she would live way past his time. Though she loved him with all her heart, Merilnel left her lover to live in the Elven village from which she came, taking Erriel with her. Erriel was raised like any other Elven child and given the same care and respect from his mother. Soon, it was discovered Erriel was an adept healer, being able to help out with the sick and wounded. Something seemed off to him though. Everyone treated him so nicely. Actually, almost too nicely. No matter what mistakes he made, he was never reprimanded. As if it were expected already. Even with how very similar Half-Elves are to the Elves, Elven-kind can see the humanity in a Half-Elf; the human features in an Elven face and less grace in the Half-Elf's movements and speech. His human blood was seen as a handicap. When Erriel turned 15, he left the village telling his mother he wanted to help those who truly needed it. Truthfully, he didn't feel like he fit in. Though it was hard, Merilnel let her son go. Erriel made it to Murtwood village looking for a place to stay during the night. The Church of the Platinum Dragon graciously welcomed him in. That night, many wounded soldiers arrived in the village in need of help. Erriel helped out the trained Clerics, healing the wounded and selflessly tending to their needs. Seeing the talent and kindness in the young boy, the church offered to let Erriel stay and be trained in the ways of a Cleric. He accepted their offer seeing how many people he could help with his training. Erriel became a member of the clergy, devoting himself to Bahamut. The Church truly treated him like a person, not a halfbreed. Unlike the Elves, the humans couldn't see his lack of Elven grace and finesse. They respected him for his actions, not his heritage. Many years pass and Erriel completed his training. He was appointed as one of the Deacons of the Church of Bahamut.
