Eve Mostrana

Eve's story is set in the country of Nasiria, a world built by RPR member Mythic. Other than Eve, she is credited with the development of the world and the species that inhabit it.

Born to human slaves far to the east, Eve was abandoned as a child, her parents unable to care for her and believing that even death may be better than slavery for their child. Eve was found and brought to the Lotus Tribe, a group of nomadic peoples to the west who believe in the possibility of coexistence for both humans and kehla, and then raised there from childhood, taught their beliefs and their ways of communicating. Kehla are taught the human language, and humans are taught to control their emotions in order to link and communicate with the kehla.

Yet, even as she grew, Eve's time with the Lotus was short lived. At her twenty fourth year, a darkness that Eve had carried inside of her made itself known. Eve had been cursed by the Najva, the gods of the Nasiriac faith, to carry death with her. The curse acted like a disease, spreading to a victim through contact, and it acted in a multitude of ways, yet always ended in death. In some victims, the curse acted like a sickness that spread so rapidly through the body the victim would be dead within the minute. In others, however, it was a disease that affected the brain, causing one to turn on all others, killing until they eventually died themselves. When the curse first arose, there was only one victim, but it only took one victim to turn Eve away from the Lotus Tribe. Guilt from causing the death drove Eve to leave the Lotus Tribe without a word.

In her early travels, Eve was not as opposed to stopping in towns for supplies and for rest, yet that security would also not last long. While staying in a small town, Eve happened upon a lost child. Her goodhearted nature wouldn't allow the human girl to leave the child alone, and thus, agreed to help lead her through the marketplace until the she could find her parents. It started with an ache at the back of her head until it spread into a throbbing pain, and before Eve knew it, she had collapsed unconscious. The contact was the young girl's hand, and that was all the curse had needed. When Eve awoke, she found the entire village massacred, and the child from earlier dead at her feet. From then, Eve avoided towns and cities as much as possible, living on as little as she had with her, resting alone in the open desert.

Eve travelled for years afterwards, searching for a way to destroy what she carried inside her, yet any attempts at killing herself failed, the curse acting like a parasite and healing its host before she even had a chance to bleed. Her search for a cure or for answers as to what the curse even was were in vain as well. Eventually, she collapsed in the desert, not far from the city of Murrakach, where she was found by a travelling kehlan and brought to their temple. It is there where her story truly begins, and where her search to discover not only the secrets of the curse she carries, but the secrets of all Nasiria begins.
