  • Description

    Leaning against a crumbling stone wall, the girl's brown eyes scanned the rubble of a ravaged village. Her clothing consisted of a pair of black trousers, and a dress shirt which at some point was white, but was now brown from dirt. Around her feet a pair of black boots. Her black hair was pulled into a loose bun, and covered by a green beret. In her hands she held a bolt-action rifle, the stock scratched and dented. The belt around her waist supported several ammo pouches, the foil of a chocolate bar sticking out of one.

  • Background

    Alice was born in an insignificant village in the country of Cafla. Her father had died in the great war preceding her birth, and her mother died shortly after childbirth. Parentless, and with no known family she was raised in a state-run nursery until the age of 10 when she was sent to work on one of the many work farms which had sprung up after the war. Her time on the farm passed slowly, the constant beatings and abuse causing her to shut out the world.

    The monotonous life of the farm was soon interrupted when several trucks bearing the emblem of Cafla's military arrived. War had been declared and everyone was needed for the war effort. The boys were put onto one truck, and the girls put onto another. The truck carrying the girls never arrived at its destination, however, an ambush by Erosian forces left the vehicle in flames, and the majority of the occupants dead. Alice had only survived by hiding underneath the corpses of the other girls.

    The war was over in less than 3 months. Erosia swiftly crushed the army of Cafla, and occupied the small country. During the occupation, Alice had tried her best to live a normal life. The illusion of a normal life was ruined one night when a run-in with a group of Erosian soldiers left her bloodied, and scarred. After that night Alice joined up with one of the many resistance groups, determined to get revenge for what happened.
