• Personality

  Tamar is surprisingly articulate for a warrior, and she is able to speak coherently and fluently to express her views for the benefit of others, or explain difficult concepts. She also has a charming personality, and is able to get along well with others, and to relate to people.
  
  However, she can be quite boisterous at times, having little to no indoor voice, and is almost always a bit too loud and active. She can also be rather childish, preferring fun and games to what she considers hard work.
  
  She has what can be considered a casual attitude to life, being relaxed and unconcerned with things that don't directly affect her.

• Backstory

  Tamar grew up in a small farming village a fair distance from the main capital city. Her parents were farmers and as a result, she and her two elder brothers were seasoned to hard work from a young age. Yet it was not a difficult life. The lands were fertile, and there was plenty of food to eat, festivals to enjoy, and markets to visit. Tamar had a happy childhood, and enjoyed close relationships with her family and neighbours, and the entire community, really, being small and close-knit. She learned to read and write at the village school, and was taught basic mathematics, just enough education to survive in a farming village.
  
  As a child, Tamar had always been rather boyish. She dressed like a farmboy, preferring to roughhouse with the other boys rather than play games at the town square with the other girls. As a result, she tends to be more confident around men, and pretty much ended up growing up into a masculine female, with mannerisms that tended to be more masculine than feminine.
  
  At 16, to the surprise of absolutely no one, she chose to join the militia with a handful of other village men her age. She had two elder brothers to tend the farm anyway, and she preferred to learn skills to defend her loved ones with rather than farm for the rest of her life. It was in the militia that she learned how to use a sword, and grew to be quite proficient at it. The militia also turned out to be her chance to see the world outside her small village, and she jumped at it, though from time to time she does return to her village to catch up with her family members and friends.

• Strengths

  To date, Tamar is most proud of her skills with the sword. She is a proficient warrior, with skills honed during battle with bandits and other malicious creatures roaming the countryside and is able to win against most enemies.
  
  Tamar is also physically strong, able to fight with or without her sword, with muscles developed from military training as well as hard work on the farm she grew up on.
  
  Tamar is a natural leader, able to inspire those around her to continue to fight despite their flagging enthusiasm.

• Weaknesses

  In social settings that require her to be on her best behaviour, she... tends to lack propriety. She has one mode only; loud, cheerful, and active.
  
  On the fly she is not good at coming up with strategies, preferring to depend on her physical strength by rushing right in.
  
  She is also less articulate with women, unable to really play within the social world that a woman is expected to navigate. Marriage and raising children? Not even on the books!
