A trap. Many actually confused him for a girl, and while he corrected them (sometimes only after messing with them, just to horrify them), he actually liked being refered to as a girl.He was, as he and his friends refered to him 'a pure maiden', and demanded to be respected and treated as such. Any disrespect ended in punishment, more often a hit on the head with anything that wouldn't do much more damage than a knot.
His usual attire consisted of a small hat with a veil, a shirt that made sure to cover his chest (he doesn't have any cleavage to show off, you know) to hide the fact he stuffs a bra to simulate a bust, and a rather oversized formal skirt. Ritsu's hair was almost always down, and it ended at about his knees.
In public, his behavior was refined. He was like this only because his reputation meant a lot to him, and who needed to know how he was really like? Of course, when he was with the company of friends, he was almost the opposite of refined. Ritsu was one to pick on his friends - and even bully them. One of his favorite bullying techniques was, in fact, titty twisters.
But on another note, he had problems that nobody else seemed to take note of, which he was thankful for. Just recently, his facination with Ted Kasane began to alter his behavior. To a point it birthed a stalker - Ritsu even had a shrine in his locked closet to Ted, and often burned pictures of Teto.
Of course, it's not like he'd do anything to Teto. He wasn't capable of it. But he found pleasure in reducing images of her to ash, for some twisted reason.
Extreme closeness to Taya Soune and Ruko Yokune was never explained, but dismissed as because of their similarities (Taya a gendershifter, Ruko a herm, and Ritsu a transexual).
