• Description

  His style is similar to Mariatu's but he doesn't like colour much and it is also a bit tighter. His clothing is usually natural leathers and furs and prefers to keep it simple, no jewelry or fancy things just plain. He does wear a leather strap across his chest to attach his shield to his back and a leather belt for his swords sheath as well. He is rarely seen outside of his outer clothing, but when he is he still prefers lighter natural colours like tans and ivory.

• Biography

  Khalon grew up in the palace and is of noble birth. He was appointed leader of the kings armies when he was 17 and is considered a prodigy with a sword. He was an only child to parents that were very wealthy and well respected and as such grew to be rather ill mannered towards people who were not of his stature in society. He respected his superiors however, especially Princess Sicada. As they grew up together he came to love her not only as a friend but secretly more. When it was announced that a suitor had been chosen for Sicada when she was 18, Khalon had his acceptance rituals learned perfectly, he was almost certain that it would be him. When the name Mariatu was spoken however a bitter side of him was revealed and he stormed off. As Mariatu made his way back to his quarters, Khalon approached him with a stern demeanour, and gave Mariatu a chance to give up on Sicada and to turn down the proposal of marriage. Mariatu being the person he was laughed in Khalons face and told him that he would never give up on such a woman and that he loved her. Khalon infuriated at this point, challenged Mariatu to a duel, and when Mariatu accepted he was quite eager to beat him down. They were both ready, however before there was even a swing of a sword, Sicada stepped in and stopped the fight. She scolded Khalon in front his peers and expressed her disappointment in both men. Mariatu apologized for his actions however Khalon turned and walked away, embarrassed that he was being told off by a woman. She followed him and told him that he was to treat Mariatu as his future king and to mistreat him would be a crime against her as well as their people and his own family. He then learned that Mariatu was his cousin and that his father was the brother of Mariatu's mother. He unwillingly agreed to follow her orders and to treat Mariatu with respect, even though he would never see him as one of them.
