• Personality

  First and foremost, Pinpointe is a liar and a talented one at that. No matter what he says there is always a weave of untruth perfectly blended in with what may be true. He never does anything without a reason that would benefit himself. He does not care about the well being others and prefers to work alone. Most of those who do work with him, end up dead either by his own paws or inadvertantly through his manipulations. Despite his selfish cruelty, the Jackal can be quite charming, equipped with a silver tongue, but always for his advantage. He does not believe in mercy and will not hesitate to do something, even murder or betrayl. Trusting this Jackal would only end with a dagger in your back.

• Biography

  Much of Pinpointe's life has been left to the shadows he chose to embrace. His true name and the origins of the family it came from have been long left behind. It is known that he opened his soul to the Realm of Shadows and embraced it as part of his own. He had worked years to do this, making unwanted alliances with the darkness. Even though he wanted their power, he had no interest with working with others. A loner by nature it seemed. But once he had been given the shadows power and transcended to that of a Shade. He left them behind, using the shadows for his own agenda.
  
  
  --- But just because his past has been buried, does not mean it is non-exsistant.. No, he had a childhood... Parents and even unbelievably friends... Once, a long time ago...
  
  
  Born Lucien Sivers to Gregory and Charmie Sivers a poor but happy couple. His father was a shoemaker and was always working just to feed and house his small family. Charmie had always been weak and sickly, her frame always appearing as if a strong gust of wind would blow her away. Because of this Lucien was born a runt. Underweight and undersized, who was not even expected to make it past the first year of his life. But Lucien pulled through a surprise to everyone, his parents of course were thankful and gave blessings to the higher powers for such a gift as Lucien. The relief did not last long as Charmie became deathly ill and never recovered, she fell into a coma and eventually passed away. This left Gregory alone with his only son, devastated from the loss though Greg turned to drinking and eventually lost his job.
  
  Gregory sold their house and most of their belongings, packing what he could into packs. He took his son and what he could hold on his back and left the city, trying to get away from the painful memories. For the first five years of Lucien's life, he spent it on the road with his father who turned out to be more than just a shoemaker. The tiny boy learned that once long before he had met and fell in love with his mother that he was a hired killer. But he had given up that life when he had met Charmie. He explained all this to Lucien because what else could he teach the boy, he needed a skill and the art of murder could make him a good, but dangerous living. So it was decided that Gregory would teach his son everything he knew...
  
  Lucien was six years old when they settled down in another city far from his original home and land. Here Gregory took up his old profession, touching ground with his old contacts and quickly finding work. The coin flooded in and did not stop, they lived in luxury a complete turn around from his earlier life. It was here too that Gregory began to train his son who took it all in like a sponge.
  
  Lucien was thirteen years old when he took his first contract and made his first kill. It was something he would never forget, its memory seared into his brain. He remembered the day was cold and windy, his father was bringing him with him for the first time to meet up with a contact. They ventured through alleys and past homeless drunks huddled in corners struggling to escape the cold. Lucien wrapped his own cloaks tighter about his figure as his eyes scanned the area. His training making note of everything and every possible escape route it had to offer. Escape was key and knowing your surroundings had been first and foremost. Gregory... Even Lucien called him such, the word father had been lost with Charmie, his mother. Whom he barely even remembered... Had turned into a building, knocking on an old warped door in some unmarked alley in an unknown part of the city. The place blended in with everything else making it hard to even determine where it was located. The door creaked open and an elderly male peeked out. He gave them both the once over before nodding and pulling the door back to let them in.
  
  The inside was dark and smelled musty and rotted. Lucien had to squint and stand still to allow his eyes to adjust. He followed close to Gregory, having been given clear instructions not to do anything, not to say anything and never leave his sight. Any false move, reaction no matter what it was that he did in the slightest from his command could put Lucien in the grave. These people did not play and he trusted Gregory enough to obey. The old wolf led them down a flight of stairs to a wide underground chamber. At the far end was a desk, a high back chair turned away from them. The only light coming from a candle sitting at one corner of the desk. Rolls of parchment sat at the center and the old wolf did not move any further. Instead he motioned them forward with one gnarled and twisted paw. Gregory turned to Lucien and gave a small nod and jerked his head, commanding the boy to go first.
  
  The young Jackal swallowed a heavy lump in his throat and cautiously moved forward. His steps slow, with Gregory quick in tow, surprisingly the elder did not shove at him to get him to move faster. Perhaps he was doing something right..
  
  "Take caution even in those willing to cut you a contract. The world is full of those who would be quick to stab you in the back and take the bounty on your head. Trust no one, not even me for one day I could be the one to push that dagger in your spine. As one day you could be the one to slit my throat. This business is risky and not many last long." Words from Gregory he had preached to him day in and day out during his training.
  
  Lucien knew he was still far from achieving anything close to becoming a true Assassin. He knew of the fools that took the title just because of its intrigue and hell who didn't want to be known as an Assassin. An elite murderer, a killer who could not hesitate even when their targets were infants whose only crime was being born to the wrong parents. It was a sick world, but the truth. A true Assassin did not say, 'no, I will not kill that child.. No, I will not kill that woman.' A true Assassin did not have the luxury of choice. That is what seperated Lucien from the fools. No was not in his vocabulary when it came to contracts.
