In fact, everything about her is ever so slightly faded, from her old blue jeans to her collection of t-shirts, making it easy for this offbeat reporter to fade into the background.

    Unlike her famed ancestors, Abigail's no hunter of anything but the truth. Her knowledge of the supernatural isn't enough - Abigail won't be satisfied until the existence of the supernatural is revealed to the world for the truth it is. Her dedication to her cause leads her down paths of blackmail, stalking, and other illegal methods of obtaining information. She's been denounced as crazy by her fellow journalists, her reputation tarnished, her only means of monetary survival the ads that pop up on her website and the occasional donation from her small fanbase of occultists.

    Abigail's obsession with the supernatural has cost her everything - her job, her reputation, her friends, her family. She is the last Van Helsing alive to believe, and she is determined to bring that belief to the rest of the world. The truth must be set free.

  • Family Life

    Born to an alcoholic mother and an abusive father, Abigail's only source of familial love was her grandfather, who, after a very long battle with social services, took complete custody over her when she was six years old. She grew up on tales of the Van Helsing legacy and inherited, upon her grandfather's death when she was twelve, the entire collection of Van Helsing journals, which she keeps to this day.

    With her father's death when she was fifteen, Abigail was sent back to live with her mother, who cleaned up her act for her daughter. But it was hardly a happy household, and the moment Abigail turned eighteen, she left without a second glance.
