• Description

  Starting at the nose, Apostatica's scales are a glittering, deep blue so dark that it may be mistaken for black. Her muzzle is long and elegant, with white fangs tipping over her bottom lip in places, while her head is surrounded by silver and dark grey horns, twisted and yet symmetrical. Intelligent green eyes are set forward in her face, like most predatory creatures. Unlike most dragons, she has external, flexible ears and a sort of 'ruff' of feather-like protrusions which can be flared up to give her the appearance of an angry cobra. These are tipped in pink, matching the four wings that dwarf her exceedingly large body - these are also covered in the feather-like scale evolutions and the foremost pair are greatly flexible, allowing for maneuverability in the air. Dapplings of magenta line the edges of her wings, though the underside (and her belly) are grey and white patterned, for better camouflage against the sky. The dragon's long body is fit and corded with muscle beneath the natural armour, ending in a tail that could sever the trunk of a tree in a single lash; this tapers down to another fan of feathers, again brightly tipped and able to be moved for greater agility. At 25ft to the shoulder and 15 tonnes of mass (though much lighter in weight due to internal air sacs), the beast has presence to match her impressive looks.
