  Is what i dreamt every night. An ocean... i was drowning but at the same time i could breathe. I hate dreams like this, the kind of dreams you know are telling you something but are too cryptic to understand? Its... annoying to say the least. But this one was different. The voice sounded just like me and i was scared. But, like the innocent little fool i was i ignored it yet again and just continued like normal. An innocent little child, an innocent, unaware, imbecile.

  I remember what i did that day too. I rode my bicycle to the front of the house where i grew marigolds for grandma. I lived alone never knowing the meaning of the word "Parents." i always thought that i was born from a flower, and that my grandma grew me into what i was. I worked hard on my garden, full of marigolds of all colors, roses, sunflowers, morning glories, lilies, tulips, you name it and it was more than likely in that garden. When grandma came over, we would bake blueberry, strawberry, and lemon pies. Lemon pie was always my favorite, i would go crazy every time Gram made it. She even called me her little lemon girl because out of all my garden plants, the lemon trees were the most beautiful.

  Grandma wanted me to visit her morning because she suddenly fell ill and so i made her a basket of treats and a bouquet of Marigolds, her favorite flowers. Fresh toast, lemon and orange marmalades, and my special egg sandwiches she always liked. I loved my grandmother, and i was about to see her if it was the last thing i do but... in the note she said to stay on the path no matter what.

  My name, is Shelly by the way. Shelly Red. I grew up in a forest in Europe, specifically Italy. My Grandmother raised me for as long as i can remember, she's strong and kind always caring for everyone and everything no matter what. She was the light of my life and i was hers. She and i planted flowers for a living and my Grandma would go sell them while i looked after our cottage. One day, she told me i cant live my whole life with her and so i decided, i wont but i will always be close! So i moved into an abandoned cabin. Fixed it up and lived there, always visiting my grandma.

  I began Riding my bicycle, with basket in hand taking in the beautiful voice of our forest, the Hooting of the owls, the busy of the bees, and even the thumping and whimpering of the rabbits and woodland creatures i would pass by. I remember seeing something, a large, black wisp i came to know as Wolfenstien because every time he would come across me he would take the form of a wolf. He was my best friend and even helped me make the cabin my home.
  i told my grandmother about him till i was blue in the face but she always thought that it was just an imaginary friend of mine. I mean, Hell i wouldn't believe my granddaughter either if she told me she had a mysterious dark wolf creature followed me around and kept her safe. I loved him so much, in fact it was weird. Whenever i had a nightmare or couldn't sleep, he would always curl up on my like a blanket and help me sleep. I didn't get it at the time but whenever i asked him why he takes care of me he would always tell me: "Your love and pure heart keeps me alive, little Red. You help protect me, so i will protect you." I would wonder exactly what i did but i accepted his affection nonetheless.

  "My oh my..." He asked me in his inquisitive, worrisome voice i came to know so well. "Why are you wandering out of the forest at this time of night? Surely you don't mean to visit your grandmother, do you? At this time?" I giggled at his overprotective inquiry. "Mhhm~! Gram is sick, so i'm gonna bring her lots of treats and medicine to make her feel all better again so we can finish the last color of Marigolds we were gonna grow!" Wolfenstien nodded his head to the side curiously. "What kind of color is it i wonder, Orange, Pink, White?" He guessed and finally i responded. "I already grew all those silly head, the last color i need is red!" My eyes lit up at the mention of the color.
  "Gram said that Red is her favorite color because it reminds her of me!" It made me remember the day she made me my hood. She was teaching me how to sew when i was just three years old and me and her worked for the longest time to make sure i got every stitch perfect just like Grandma did and i wouldn't rest until i did. then one day i made myself a little doily that was flawless and i was so proud i was sure that i would burst into a bunch of red glitter.
  to celebrate how far i came, she woke me up ther next day to show me something she had been working on since we started in secret. a red hood that fit me perfectly and matched my eyes perfectly. I was so, so happy and so i would wear it every day, taking great care of her gift and she gave me a little nickname, "Little Red Riding Hood." Because i was little and wore my red hood all the time and would always ride to her house. I liked that nickname,
  and it made me feel important.

  Wolfenstien was worried that day because he always told me that its dangerous at night and i could get hurt but i refused to leave my Grandma to be sick without any help from her Little Red Riding Hood! Wolfenstien knew this so he promised to guide me there while i rode. And Rode i did, taking in the fresh night air and everything the forest had to offer in its nightly beauty. But suddenly about fifteen minutes of riding later i started to feel that something was off. As if instead of going somewhere familiar, full of memories i cherish, i was riding into a cold and crippling unknown that sent chills to my bones. i felt like a swarm of syringes were inside of my back, injecting me with concentrated fear that only got stronger as i got closer to my grandmother until eventually... there i was a few feet from her door.
