  • Biography

    ~In same universe as Alistair Tourmon~

    She spent the early years of her childhood growing up in France near the city of Lyon. However when her mother was exposed of witchcraft she was forced to flee the country when she was just about seven years old. She came to England with her mother her father having unfortunately not survived their escape.

    When they landed in London her mother wanted nothing more for her daughter then a better life, a fresh start, and more opportunity for her daughter then she could ever provide. However while life in London was less dangerous it did not prove less difficult. Impoverished and living in Victorian England without a man to support them her mother turned to prostitution and thievery to try and support her daughter. The conditions of their living space and with Madam Durand's life of work it wasn't surprising when she unfortunately grew ill and died leaving a young Nerissa to fend for herself in the gutters of Houndsbay. Having inherited her mothers gentle touch and her fathers selfless nature she did everything in her power to assist other children like her becoming something of a leader among them and almost even a mother to some.

    When she met Alistair Tourmon half dead in the gutters she took the girl, who at the time resembled something closer to a vicious animal. Having slowly earned her trust and helped her and eventually renaming her. The two grew closer then sisters and while Nerissa is not a fan of Jazz's nefarious methods she does see the good that she is doing. Quite in contrast to her loud, foul mouthed friend she worked hard to always be proper lady as her mother wanted her to be.
