• Background

  Cedrica is the heir to the Portugal throne. She traveled to France for a marriage alliance with Charles, the current (in some cases soon to be) king of France. The marriage negotiation was difficult due to the reputation her late older brother, Tomás, left of Portugal, but in the end it was done. Cedrica is very bold and outspoken, and she is not thrilled about her marriage with Charles. There are many reasons for this, one being her ache to maintain independence, the other being she is a pagan who will have to pretend to be a Catholic. She often has nightmares about the plague because she witnessed this taking her mother, and when plague breaks out in France, she tries to stay as isolated as possible.
