    Ellie is a selkie so in her natural form she swims as a brown seal in the ocean. When those in the water are in danger, she takes on a human form to save them. Sometimes, when she's very curious, she'll leave the ocean as a human in order to explore. While she likes playing and meeting friendly humans, under the guise of being one fully herself, she has to be very careful because if someone steals the fur coat she wears then she cannot become a seal again. A selkie is always drawn back to the sea, so she doesn't ever stay out for long.
