๏ Name: Salem Cyr Malachite
๏ Age: 9 years old
๏ Nicknames: Tends not to respond to any nicknames he is given, though is sometimes called "The Ghost Kid" behind his back. His family also used to call him Malachite, so when he hears anyone call him it, he'll either giggle and squeal or hyperventilate and have a panic attack.
๏ Species: Ghost/Spirit, appears human at first sight.
๏ Sexuality: Bisexual
๏ Personality: Ominous, eerie, mysterious, creepy, disturbing, unsettling, can be morbidly comical.
๏ Hair: Salem's hair is a dirty blonde colour, and is slightly groomed. It is parted near the middle and sweeps in several directions, though oddly and nicely frames his face.
๏ Eyes: Salem's eyes are normally a chocolate brown colour that compliments his hair, though they can oddly be found as a pale blue colour from time to time. This change in hue happens when he is talking or looking at his imaginary friend's, and once they leave him alone, his eyes retreat back to normal.
๏ Weight: Lighter than air. Because he is a ghost spirit, Salem weighs less than nothing, and can very, very, easily be carried if he wants to be. It feels as if you're carrying half a piece of paper.
๏ Scars: A couple around his waist from being hit in his earlier childhood, and several rope burns across his wrists from when he didn't obey his imaginary friend's. Salem had never inflicted pain on himself, mainly because he likes to think he's smart and stable enough to not hurt himself.
๏ Complexion: Pale skin, lightly tanned, small array of freckles along his cheeks and nose.
๏ Relationship Status: Single, has never been in a relationship and doesn't quite understand love yet.
๏ Languages Known: English, Sign Language, Morse Code, Binary, some German and Korean.
๏ Phobias: Acrophobia – The fear of heights. Salem hates high places and will cry if standing near one, even afraid of being lifted sometimes, though will only tremble and cling on to the person carrying him.
Taphophobia – The fear of being buried alive. Because he is dead, Salem had already gone through being put in a coffin and being buried. When he woke up as a ghost, he was still in the coffin, screaming and crying to be let out, believing that he was still alive, though that wasn't the case, and nobody could hear him. Because of that, he is deadly terrified of coffins and being buried alive.
Catoptrophobia – The fear of mirrors. Salem cannot see his reflection in a mirror, and because he is only a child, he is very shaken up by it. He taps on the glass rather aggressively and tries to find himself, only to have a major freak out and panic attack because he believes that he isn't normal.
Xenophobia – The fear of the unknown. Salem is the very culmination of the word unknown. If he doesn't know everything going on around him, he will feel uneased and paranoid, causing him to be rather hostile.
๏ Disorders: Salem has a small case of OCD, making him be a big perfectionist with things. He has to have things orderly and in place, or he won't be able to operate well.
PTSD- In his earlier childhood, Salem had gone through a rather traumatic experience that lead to all of his phobias. He never talks about it and will easily move on to a different topic, or just walk away altogether when asked.
It has been tested that Salem has Schizophrenia, and proved correct many times. Because he claims that he has friends that he listens to, it points directly to a hallucinatory section in his brain, mainly because nobody will believe his lies.
Salem has a major insomnia disorder, and would fall asleep if it weren't for his friends. They keep him up at night all the time, and he can't help but obey what they say, or he will face the consequences.
Because he doesn't need to eat at all, people believe Salem has an anorexic and bulimia disorder. Though, if he ever tries to eat, it will only end up with him throwing it up, because his body will not accept it.
Lastly, Salem has a Brief Psychotic Disorder. Though it rarely happens, he will go terribly insane towards people, lashing out and trying to kill him. Many people say it is because of his unstable nature, but in reality, he is being told to.
๏ Habits: Sitting in a corner alone, walking away in the middle of conversations, ignoring most people, dulling out people's voices, incoherently talking to himself.
๏ Body Type: Very skinny and frail, easy to overpower but will most likely put up a fight.
๏ Manners: Is a bit unorthodox with his manners, tending to not care enough to keep a conversation going between himself and someone, mainly because he doesn't like talking to begin with. Salem basically only listens to his friend's, and doesn't do anything anyone else tells him to do.
๏ Likes: Thunder, lightning, stormy nights, old and damaged stuffed animals, being called Malachite (sometimes), reading, being alone.
๏ Dislikes: Sunny days, going outside too often, talkative people, anyone who thinks they have authority over him, going to school.
๏ Strengths: Mentally strong, very honest, can be dependable if he believes you are worthy, doesn't get scared too often, very tranquil.
๏ Weaknesses: Too avoidant with people, seems to have no nice side, physically weak, uncooperative at times.
๏ Family: If asked, Salem will either walk away or tell you that his parents are ghosts.
๏ Voice: If ever heard, Salem's voice is light and timid. Though every word that comes out of his mouth is very blunt and straightforward, Salem speaks with a touch of hesitance, as if he's unsure of what he's saying should be said.
๏ Attire: Usually consisting of something cozy yet formal, like a sweater, or buttoned up shirt, accompanied by a pair of dark jeans and shoes.
