    Echtael has no true physical form. The one displayed above is only one of a nearly infinite number that he can assume when he desires to communicate with mortals or others of his kind. His true state is a simple blob of nothingness that could be perceived as a particularly thick circle of shadow.

  • Biography

    Echtael (or Claw as he is currently known) is a shape-shifting being born of the shadows for one purpose. His kind, the Shai (Shadowfolk of Anarai), live to serve only one duty for their entire lifetimes after creation. Claw's designated job was to protect one specific artifact from those who would use it for evil, and those who would release it's destructive magic unintentionally. Every single Shai has the ability to see all possible destinies within a mortals soul, as well as see into the soul itself. The Shai do not have any specific combat ability, though they can mimic various techniques from swordsmanship and marksmanship, to casting spells. Despite this, they are still rather weak, so Guardians such as Claw usually search for a mortal destined to become powerful and live long and well, and convince them to protect the artifact in question until their demise, at which point the guardian will move on to another mortal for help. Currently, Claw has found massive potential within a young werewolf boy, Felix, the son of Stellvira Hamuta. He feels a strong connection to the boy, which is a sign to him that he will grow to be an excellent guardian of the Seventh Stone of Destruction, and artifact hunted by the Collector Sasha Gorumov.
