• Lily is a new character, and still sort of a work in progress. She may undergo dramatic revamp to add nuance!
  
  Lillian is a pleasant person to chat with, someone who knows well the ins and outs of conversational rhythms, someone who knows how to ask and answer and keep a conversation going. She's generous and interested, with a quick sense of humor and a good memory for the details of peoples' lives. However, those paying attention will catch a kind of keen canniness that underlays most of her interactions. Lily is a people-pleaser, but not (mostly) for reasons of ego.
  
  Not thinking of herself as strictly human, Lily has always put a small amount of distance between her and the people around her. She genuinely likes people, but she has the long game in mind and the long game rarely involves the little guy as anything much more than a pawn.
  
  As such, people can get close to her, but only to a point -- too intimate and she'll sweetly close off and gentle someone back around to talking about themselves. That's a nice easy trick she learned early on.

  She is fine-boned and tall with expressive, spidery hands and the grace of someone who counts on being looked at and is well used to playing to that. She is all long lines, not much given to curves, although she knows how to dress to her strengths. She keeps her hair long and well-maintained, and likes to dress it up -- now and then she's dyed it darker or redder, and once she permed it, although she's vowed never to do that again.
  
  Her dress trends slightly conservative -- not in the sense that she is shy with low necklines, but in that she enjoys drawing clothing inspiration from history, looks that have proven themselves timeless by the test of many years. Fashion is a tool she uses liberally, because she understands its power, although to her it's a means to an ends and not an ends itself: when she's not putting on a display, which is not all that often, she can be found enjoying sweatpants just as much as the next guy.
