• Description

  Tobias is rather thin, for his age, he's always been a bit below growth since he started school. His hair is light but dirty blonde, and he's always worn it long, his mother held no objections to it. His clothes were mostly new and simple, he didn't dress up, for anything, he absolutely refused, even his fathers wedding he refused to come to dressed in anything more than slacks, a button up shirt and a vest. He always wore the same leather belt, intricately cut in celtic knot patterns, made for him by his mother. He also always wears the same leather jacket, unless it's impolite, in which case he takes it off. It has a Celtic knot on the back, incidentally the design makes an X in the center, extending to points of the 8 pointed sun.

• Biography

  Primary Mutation: Psionic Manipulation of Kinetic energy.
  Tobias' Basic mutation is that he can manipulate Kinetic energy and control and condense it, quite specifically a push, or a pull on a small object, that he has enough actual strength to move. He's made balls of it, virtually invisible aside from a small gold ring around them, the best the are is about marble sized and they only act like a balloon of energy, when they hit something, anything, they pop with the force of a small fire cracker. Once and only once Tobias has managed to create a flame, he was very angry, and he used it to burn a hole in a door while escaping local authorities(This technique is done by condensing the kinetic energy so much that the air around it ignites.). His last ability seems to be the ability to create solid wall, or perhaps create a small spot where there was no kinetic energy, and none could get back.
  
  Secondary Mutation:
  Psionic and physical resistance Tobias' body naturally emits fields around his body that block out kinetic and psionic interference with his body. Unconsciously, it had no real potency. A side effect is minor static to psychics reading his mind(Easily dealt with by almost anybody, unless he's using his powers, which seems to increase it's potency, especially when agitated) The physical field is the origin of his kinetic energy barrier, it's on all the time and only makes his skin a bit more resilient, and his body a bit harder to knock over, since to him staying in place is a matter of wanting to be in that spot, though if his physical body is injured or his head. This field gives him a minor sensation of pressure when anyone else comes within his field of psionic static.
  
  Weaknesses: His powers are psionic, he if he's hit in the head most of his 'solid' kinetic energy abilities will become dispelled. Currently his control isn't finite enough to create more than two walls, one from either hand, eventually this will be important when he learns to use weapons and constructs with these Zero-Kinetic Energy barriers.
  All of his powers strain his mind and body to use, and lifting anything with his powers kinetically, greater than his Wisdom(which equates to his willpower in dnd terms) (Psionics replacing will-power for physical strength, which is only slightly greater than his real strength)
  
  
  
  Recent History:
  Tobias is a young mutant new to the city, he has steered clear of trouble as much as he could though being as young as he is he's had to find alternative means of feeding and clothing himself. Stealing from donation bins has been a good method, or breaking open vending machines with a small Kinetic marble and bursting their insides open.
  
  Longer History:
  Tobias was born when his mother was very young, she'd had a relationship with a man who was a mutant, a local hero by some rights, when her family forbid the relationship. They couldn't stay apart, and eventually she decided to run away, her lover however being a mutant was caught up in anti-mutant actions and couldn't follow her. She moved on, thinking she'd never see him again, mutants were dying all over. She married quickly, soon with child her husband thought nothing of it, she wasn't even sure who the father was. Tobias was born a mutant 9 months after they were married, (Technically he was late by a month.) his powers manifested early, but they were hardly noticeable. He was great at hide and seek somehow sensing peoples presence, really good at running, but uncoordinated, tripping when he tried to stop but never hurting himself. He actually got through the entirety of his childhood (So far) without breaking a bone or injuring himself. He never found this odd, and never talked about the odd feeling of pressure whenever anyone came near him because of mild autism spectrum disorder, High Functioning Aspergers.
  He is easily excitable, but at times makes inappropriate facial expressions, when under pressure he'll ramble, and interupt people when they're speaking. He can focus intently on something to the points of losing interest in everything else, ignoring it even. He reacts overly dramatically at times or when stressed beyond his ability to comprehend, mostly relating to social relations, the stigma against mutants confuses him most of all.
  He lived with his step father and mother for 12 years, while his father had repeated affairs with a woman he dated before his mother, whom he'd also fathered a son with. The double family life went on for 12 years, when his mother caught him, his better lawyers and job ensured that he got the greater part of their belongings. Tobias was sent to live with his father because of his better circumstances. His mother left, giving Tobias the name of a city across the country, the area code and promised she'd call him. He got one call from her but he was unable to get much of the conversation because his step brother disconnected the phone.
  Tobias got fed up with this and his powers manifestations became stronger and stronger, he had thrown a punch at his brother and the burst of kinetic energy he unleashed knocked him across the hallway. He threw up his hands to try and protect himself when his brother had punched him in the face when he woke up, and a wall appeared over his bed of thick golden light, it kept his brother from pummeling him for a few minutes before Tobias got up and bolted. His step mother and father were out of the house, and Tobias had no one to pull his brother off of him this time, and in his panic tossed his hands forward and the kinetic orb that resulted and flew at his brother knocked him down the stairs. His brother was breathing, but his leg was bent at a strange ankle, he was knocked out too... Tobias gathered his things and left immediately. He hitch hiked from there it took him a little over a year, now approaching his 14th birthday, he's made it to the city his mother told him about.
