  • Likes: Music, stories, bards, artists, scholarly pursuits, such as experimenting with lesser beings.
  • Dislikes: Physical combat, being ordered, interruptions, ignorance, and bothersome creatures, especially if they are airborne.
  • Tropes: I'm going for the Ditsy Genius type. Smart in scholarly areas, but horribly unwise in his "street-smart" choices and actions. Definitely some Mad Scientist in there.
  • Quirks: Forgetful. Scatterbrained. Beats a specific nail on his left claw so much it's rounded, which makes more of a thump than a click these days.

• At a Glance.

  Most striking is the malformed skull. Vestigial bone pieces jut above the brow, curving into a set of four horns too many for the average wyvern. The unnatural growths obscure its already narrow eyes. It's a wonder he can see at all.
  
  When standing, the being's girth could perhaps fit inside a large church, and easily inside his spacious lair. His neck is slightly longer than his tail, owing to his typically poor posture in having his head low to the ground most time from the weight of it. The scales across the body are a steady gradient of greys; from a dulling ivory at the feet to a pristine, opaque snowy-silver at the peak of the skull. A few dozen glossy mirrors remain speckled about the neck, serving as the last remnants of his youth. A fine mist billows consistently anytime it opens to speak it's natural tongue or eat. The gas dissipates quickly enough in small amounts, yet worryingly lasts in larger quantities. The aroma about the wyvern is made consistently queer by this mist. Some describe it as nostalgic.

• What's Known

  The serfs nearest the swamp have tales of this terrible wyvern. They're wive's tales warning of days where the fog smells most sweetly. It was a sign the Dream Eater was stalking the tree line those days, waiting for maidens or children to wander too near. If you weren't snatched up, one would begin to experience their worse nightmares unfold before them until terror got the best of their spirits. The Dream Eater would eat your nightmares as well as you're fainted corpse! Gobble you whole! There's always one or two frantic survivors reviving the tale every dozen years for it to be forgotten as mere hogwash among the farm and city folk alike.
  
  The magical sort know Vulekta to be an eccentric one ever since his birth in that very swamp. He's busied himself in his lair more so then anything since his return some odd century ago, and those occasions where he crawls out of that damp crevice are commonly not to socialize. He is widely known by his kin to be a brilliant (debatably mad) wyvern who is fascinated with humanity as well as discovering truths of the world to pass the time. He is somewhat old. Too old for his liking but old enough to know he must accept the reality of it. He has traveled to several lands outside his hovel and learned much of the arcane from various races' magi who were completely willing to aid him with no threat to their lives in the slightest. He is driven by this pursuit, enjoying learning how systems of arcane languages as well as mortal beings function most of all, regardless of size or alignment. His lair is not to be trodden on lightly. Some delinquent hatchlings have said it to be a nightmare of jars and flasks of vile material in the place of gold and trinkets, though there are plenty of those as well.

  Chaotic Neutral in DnD terms of alignment. He'd protect a particularly funny jester just as well as he'd kidnap a talented soothsayer if he found her fortune telling methods unique.
