Alexei Gabin Virésse has had a tumultuous, yet privileged life. He does not speak to his mother, and in fact negates her existence entirely. Meanwhile, to fill the void unhealthily, he grew obsessive over his father. Now, living miles away in London, England, 'Lexei copes by being a high functioning alcoholic, coke addict, workaholic and the occasional sessions of sexual objectification. He's all but given up on the idea of love, but he seems rather complacent about it.

To a degree, Alexei Gabin Virésse believes that he's, well, cursed. Alexei, better known as 'Lexei was named after his mother's ex-lover, unbeknownst to his father. In fact, 'Lexei was conceived without the knowledge of his father. That is until his mother used the poor infant child as a pawn, interrupting a business meeting of his father's to make his existence known to the man. So, from the get go, 'Lexei was more useful as a bargaining chip than an actual person or child to be loved. In fact, he's pretty fucking sure that he was solely conceived by his demoness mother so that she could manipulate his father into giving her whatever she wanted because by that time he was getting pretty sick of her bullshit.
To his father's credit, Alfred, immediately jumped into the role of being a dad. The only anger born of the whole 'reveal' situation by Alfred was towards his tumultuous lover, Cossette, 'Lexei's mother, for not telling him in the first place. Alas, the match was doomed from the beginning. Cossette never could deny her manipulative ways, and continued paying attention to 'Lexei only to garner the boy's favour, ultimately using him as a means to get more of what she wanted out of his dad; all the luxuries that money can provide, and the poor man's self dignity too. It was never enough for Cossette and it never would be.
Out of the constant back and forth between his parents, the sleepless nights due to their fighting which was never restricted to mere shouting, it became apparent to 'Lexei which parent actually give a damn about his existence. Children are never as blind as we hope. However, this created a deeper than appropriate attachment of 'Lexei to his dad, Alfred. 'Lexei became more and more covetous of his father's time and attention. When he was a teenager he would do almost anything to garner Alfred's attention, be it positive or negative. And dammit, did he ever push his father's buttons.
