Xeress' parents were two high standing elves from two species and they got married to bring peace between the two. Xeress was a product of that, a symbol of peace for both races. The homelife was bad, with her parents having both very dominant personalities and a lot of pride, there was no room to compromise.

Xeress was sent off to school at the first chance they had. First taking classes among other elfs and nature dwellers, but when she showed high magical capability they sent her to a magic tower where several species resided, but the main one was humans. Never once having contact with her family and not for lack of trying.

She graduated in the top 3 in her class. Powerful and sought after from multiple lords, masters of magic and even some kingdoms, she declined as she wanted to return home.

Once home she found that her house was empty, abandoned for a few years, and not in a rush. She found out that the races had chosen to go back to war, and none wanted anything to do with the halfbreed. Xeress was heartbroken. And spent years in the house and surrounding areas, before she was so bitter and filled with hate that she chose something drastic. Creating a ritual to corrupt herself. To change from someone who has mastered several spells or nature and mana powered magic, to someone with forbidden powers of necromancy.
On her first conquest she eradicated both of her parents' home cities. But her goal is much greater than just that. She would not rest until they were all gone.

Free Magic - powers she can use on a whim
Binding spells: can bind creatures to her, mainly of lower intelligence or consenting beings
Telekinesis: the higher the weight of the overall things lifted the harder it is to maintain, but the weight is somewhat unlimited, but can be broken by other magic or magical artifacts.
Barrier: a small barrier that can act like a shield for a short period. strong but taxing on the body

Spellcasting magic - needs minor preparation and often just certain items or sigils or chant
Raise the dead: makes dead bodies rise once again, a very taxing spell to use
Teleportation: for it to work she has to have visited the place she wants to reach.
Dead eyes: needs a minor chant to see through undead eyes, skeleton is easier to use. Hearing might also be included in some cases.

Conditioned magic - bigger rituals that can take longer to prepare and needs specific condition met
summoning (lower demons and spirits): can summon beings for unlimited time but a hard spell to pull off due to the certain things that needs to be met for it to succeed and can change depending on the being and safety is only guaranteed for a 24 hour period.
Corruption spell: corrupting a being that usually changes their magic capability and type. Usually needs a lot of work and can only be used once on each being.
Create hidden hideout/base: works in a way like a mix of an illusion spell and a pocket dimension. Can be entered by anyone but invisible from the outside and is bigger than the area on the outside world. Needs magic stones, specific created artifacts and a spell circle to work and maintain.
