The son of the Prince Anchises & the goddess Aphrodite. Ancestor of Romulus and Remus. Hero of both Troy, as well as Rome.
His body, lost to time, turning into a cruel beast, yet still carrying the remnants of his mother's touch. Beautiful, deadly, and without much care as he once carried. The world has changed so much, it isn't even an echo of what it used to be. It sits and remains as he does; transmogrified into something entirely new. A husk of what it used to be.
The only thing still the same are the Gods, immortal & forever, and the affair that life has with death.
Aeneas can be painfully indifferent. He has little room for sympathy or empathy. Choosing sides is pointless, and conflict will always end, one way or another. Siblings and such may fight, people may die, and Aeneas will be watching the turmoil down below through a window unfazed. He is more of a silent watcher who delights in things people may construe as unimportant.
The whole world may be burning to the ground, and he'll be halfway through a painting, oil smudged on his jaw.
While Aeneas remembers how to fight, and can still be found sparring to pass the time, he tries his best to keep this to himself. It is in painful opposition to the man he used to be so long ago. A wondrous warrior and hero of his people, he now fights in the shadows cast by candlelight and nothing more.
Given his lineage, Aeneas lives in the Olympus District of Utopia. A name the demi-god finds amusing to no end. In further irony he finds positively delightful is that he is a user of the intravenous drug called Hope.
As he no longer believes in the value of picking sides, Aeneas refuses the concepts of good & evil.
Everything is subjective
Of course, but with his mentality now it can be understood as an extreme. If you are a friend in search of an ear, he will lend you one. However, Aeneas won't agree with you how awful someone is as everyone has the freedom to do what they will, as well as, be who they will. To deny them that would be to deny them existence. If someone gaslights you, they have that right, just as you do. No one is obligated to hold the same morals, or hold any morals at all for that matter.
As everything,
it is a concept and nothing more. His view point is not for the fainthearted.
This also means that war, and the subject that is on the minds of every human in Utopia, culling, matters very little. People die all the time and if a few million need to die so that the rest may thrive, what of it? If anything, Aeneas might find it amusing, as man has been killing itself since it has begun, and does not keep their murderous ways to solely their own species. They kill their own environment for a sense of luxury and animals for a false sense of security.
That being said, Aeneas is not above debauchery. In fact, the demi-god, since Utopia's human population became on the rise, and the dependence on the Gods increased as well, he has been known to pass the time by slumming it with mortals. Especially since he also has to leave the safety and luxury of the Summit of Olympus to satiate his Hope habit.
With everything he fought for gone, (let alone everything he grew up with), and the way Dido killed herself, Aeneas has no true interest in love. He merely is. His current lifestyle and viewpoints are a matter of contention between Aeneas and his friend Thrax, a demi-god and the son of Ares.
However, outside the only good influence in his life, (Thrax), are the highs that Aeneas constantly seeks. In fact, Aeneas solely lives for chasing the next high, given the depths of his jaded nihilism. With Hope supplied to him by Kyrios, another demi-god and son of Dyonisus, Aeneas also is known to whore himself out. After all, seems right, given who his mother is. It is also a great way to pay for his 'extra-curricular' activity, whenever Kyrios will accept the deed rather than a true currency-based form of payment.
As an aside to all this, you might be asking yourself 'why the collar?', most especially if you've seen Aeneas around because he is never without it. While that is a mystery he keeps to himself, that does not mean there is a lack of rumours and theories floating about. The most popular is that that is where his 'god-mark' is; the mark that he was bestowed to show that he was such a golden boy to the Gods that he was eventually deified.
