Biography
Before Birth (World building)
Supernatural abilities and powers are not a usual thing in 2019. Not in Japan, either. It's a terrifying thought to wonder whether or not people are discretely becoming more powerful without our acknowledgement of it, but funnily enough, in the year of 2020, a horrible accident happened in the country of Japan that devastated the area. China had a horrible spill of toxins, that eventually reached the small island-country of Japan through the water. Due to Japan not being properly notified about the waters condition, it mutated humans everywhere. The mutated humans had children, and those children were what notified the Japanese government that something was off. years later, in 2027, human DNA cells adapted to the toxicity of the water, making Japan home to some of the strangest human beings known to the human race today. There are still arguments about whether or not the citizens of Japan are still human beings. Thus began the discrimination of the Japanese people around the world. Japan truly was isolated from the rest of the world, just then.
Japan's water had eventually intoxicated the fish, as well. Of course, people around the world were aware of Japan's condition, the hazard of the water, but hadn't realized the quickness of it's spread. The mutation that reached the fish spread throughout the oceans nearing Hawaii. And due to Hawaii being part of America, and it being common for people living in Hawaii to move to America, the mutation is slowly but surely making it's way through America, where Kuujo currently lives. In the future, it will be a regular thing to see mutated humans. Even so, now that mutated people are seen as freaks, "pure humans" have been getting more and more praise, because they're becoming harder and harder to find. Mutated humans are currently being tested to find a cure, but due to the speed at which the mutation infects the DNA, people are having a tough time finding a cure.
Childhood
Kuujo's life had always been secretive. In Japan, his regular life was born. He was open and very happy. Being mutated wasn't a problem to the citizens of Japan, as most anyone who drank water, which was everyone, either died due to the toxins or became mutated. So life wasn't seen as picking people out. Then his parents moved to America. In America, his father had gotten a job offer, as his father was a "pure human", unlike Kuujo and his mother. The people he worked for didn't want Japan's mutation bleeding into America (they were unaware, like most everyone in America at this time, that it already had). His mother had been caught by the American's, who sent her back home. But he safely got through the boarders without being suspected. His mother still contacts him even now, and is very open with her son and husband, though she lives so far away.
In America, Kuujo died his hair as an attempt to cover up the fact that he was Japanese. As soon as an Americans aw that he was in fact Japanese, the questions would come flooding in. So he really didn't have many friends. He kept very much to himself, and as time went on became more and more accustomed to life on his own, by himself.
Current time
Currently, Kuujo isn't having a very difficult time dealing with his mutation, or the way people react to it. For the most part, he's very good at keeping it secret, though he has trouble during the day time, when he gets significantly more exhausted. He has one other friend who knows about his mutation (other than his father), and tries to help him keep it secret as well. He isn't quite sure why he tries to keep it secret, and even contemplates being open about his mutation. It's a lot less stress to go home than it is to stay in America. But he wants to keep his father company, as it makes no sense for him to go home with no money.
His father is a scientists, as his genius in Chemistry became more notable when the mutation hit Japan. He was a key factor to finding the original cure for the mutation, but is still working to fix it permanently. Due to the mutations constant changing, it's extremely difficult to get a proper analysis on the cause of it. His mother was a shape-shifter, and currently makes money in Japan using that ability to help out the people of Japan, and their government as well.Kuujo's Mutation
Kuujo's mutation had a lot to do with feline characteristics. His eyes tend to glow in the dark, and so he wears contacts to cover it up. Due to how much his pupils resemble cat eyes. He is extremely agile and flexible to an alarming degree, and is rather sneaky and silent. This makes him very good at stealing things. He hates extremely bright lights, and prefers the dark, which he can see in if he isn't wearing his contacts. He has human-like nails, but they are very hard and sharp, so he constantly keeps them wet with lotion and cut down. They grow very quickly.
One of his most embarrassing quirks due to his mutation is rutting. Male cats are known to rut during a cat's mating season, and is known for causing male cats to become very territorial and extremely aroused. Such a thing normally happens to a cat at most two weeks every month. Because Kuujo is so much larger than a cat, rutting happens only one week per month. But it's a grueling process that causes him to be rough with those around around him, and very affectionate at all times. Rutting also makes him very territorial, and possessive. Due to his constant lust, he tends to miss school or work on these days to keep himself from hurting someone.
Kuujo also had whiskers that will grow out to the length of his shoulders if he doesn't cut them. He has incredible reflex time, and thus is extremely good and video games. He;'s also very clumsy and while he lands on his feet well, his curiosity is so intense he is seen as alarming sometimes. He enjoys climbing trees, though he always needs help getting back down, and cannot eat vegetables. He can only eat raw meat. And he prefers to catch the meat himself. As time does on, he grows to be more and more like a cat, becoming more animistic and less human. He hates being touched at well, and enjoys dark places. He may be see lying on the ground if the sun is shining through a window though. He has the ability to shape-shift into a black cat with yellow eyes, but cannot do so consciously, and only does so when he's extremely nervous or scared. It's annoying though, as he wakes up out of his clothes, completely naked.
