    The Corvus Clan

    The Corvus clan were a dangerous bunch. They stayed isolated in their dark forests and high up in their floating architecture. It was quite a sight. For millennia no one had attacked the Corvus clan and they prospered. Their so-called titled leader was always assigned by their intelligence first and then by their battle prowess and not just their size or beauty.

    The clan had many subfamilies within it ranging from the hunters, guards, the royals, the advisors, trackers, the trappers, the ones that lived in the forests below, the builders and of course the most dangerous of the lot the so-called Angels of Death or rather the Defenders in nicer terms.

    History

    All was well for the Corvus clan until the larger birds of prey, the Eagles banned together to take out Corvus. It was quite the battle. The Corvus clan was entirely wiped out along with their homes, the young ones, the women and old. No one was spared. The Eagles suffered casualties at the hands of the Angel of Death who was captured and presented to their king. In a show of power to the other birds and the council of all Avians the Eagle King ripped off the wings of the Angel of Death and hung them in his bedroom as a trophy. He had intended to kill her then when he decided to capture her instead and keep her imprisoned for his entertainment.

    Bad idea. He hadn't thought about it too well but that full moon night the Angel of Death had escaped and destroyed quite a portion of the prison within the Eagle Kingdom leaving behind the bloody remains of the guards and prisoners. No one was spared as she escaped and never to be found for the next century.

    It was one day a century later when the Eagle King celebrated the birth of his son. He stood in front of the Raven wings remembering the day things had changed for him and he had come into power. The Angel of Death had of course never been heard of again and this bright sunny day the wings withered and died turning to dust. He celebrated and took this as a sign that the troublesome bitch was finally dead.

    Asura currently lives along in a dead forest that she claimed as her property. She has lived there for the past 1000 years and defends it from the trash that enters her territory without permission.

    Asura's loss of wings did not signify her death but rather she was given new life by the death god to continue reaping rotten souls for his benefit. She trains in the forest with her scythe and enjoys fruits and sometimes a kill or two. She meditates in the afternoons and loves naps under the trees

    The Angels of Death (Defenders)

    These were an elite group of warriors that were lead by the one worthy of the Title of Reaper. As a creature identified with death and the Death God the leader of the Defenders was one who was capable of using dark magic and communicating with the Death God. This was a trait that ONLY the leader of the Defenders was given and it was an honour whenever a successor was chosen to take the title. An Angel of Death lived a much longer life span than the others due to their dark magic and environmental magics.
