Sufie’s mother was a beautiful woman, on par with supermodels, unfortunately not tall enough to be one, but that didn't matter, the woman loved money more than anything. With no shame she would seduce all the wealthy men she could get close to, age or relationship status didn't matter, as long as they gave expensive gifts and money. One day she seduced a wealthy married man, to a point they even travelled together, he even gave her a mansion. However on one of these travels he died in an unfortunate car accident. The man's wife quickly found out everything and blamed Sufie’s mom, first it was threats and cussing. But soon she actually cursed her. However unknown to either of the women, Sufie’s mom was pregnant. The curse who at first sat in her mom's body soon merged with Sufie.

After Sufie was born her mom at first just let her be, still having a lot of money and still the mansion as well she got a nanny to take care of little baby Sufie. It was discovered that Sufie had gotten the curse as she said her first words, her mom was horrified but in the end decided to just let Sufie stay but refused to see her any further.

During the years the wealth her mom had dwindled, she had a harder and harder time seducing as her age began to show. The anger was taken out on Sufie the few times they saw each other, mainly verbally, blaming her for everything. Sufie who couldn't speak up in fear to make things happen with the use of her voice just took the verbal beatings everytime.
The time came when they eventually could no longer afford living in the mansion. Sufie was thrown to the curb, not yet old enough to live on her own, but her mom didn't care and just left, moving away to an unknown address.

Sufie luckily didn't stay on the streets for long, as she sought out her old nanny, who agreed to let her stay with her until she had finished school and could find a place of her own. Sufie helped the old woman at home, while doing part time in a fast food joint, and worked hard to finish school, her grades were okay, but not enough to give her any scholarships, so she went out to look for a job, and got one washing dishes in a kitchen, but was later upgraded to prep cook and was eventually able to move into something of her own. She still struggles from the remnants of her past, and has trouble meeting new people despite liking to socialize. She does like music as it is the only constant in her life and while she dont dare to dream to sing any of her own, she sometimes does wish she could sing without her powers going bonkers.

She decided early on in life to wear her mask, around the time when her vitiligo began to show, while none of the masks would help in a situation where things do happen, it does give her some comfort to wear them and keeping herself calm does prevent things from crashing down.
