Mei Amari

Description

Mei Amari is a slim, athletic woman of Japanese descent who carries an air of arrogance and chaos everywhere she goes. She stands at 5'10" tall, and her body type is best described as a subtle hourglass padded with muscles, and she makes no attempt to hide her athleticism and strength, often battling opponents much larger than her to the point she's earned a reputation on base.

Her olive skin is covered in various scars, some light and superficial and others incredibly deep, two of which are borderline disfiguring in their jagged edges and deepness; One that traces from the left side of her hairline, above her ear, to the back of her head, usually hidden by her hair if it's down, but all too displayed if she has it pinned up; And deep, crooked scar that goes from her right eyebrow, down across her eye, and curves over her cheekbone towards her pointed ear. Other than this, the only notable scars on her are the scars from where her prosthetics were installed, mostly small circular scars from the surgery and the wires once there.

She naturally has cool black hair, though she tends to use a variety of methods from hair dye to holographic devices to change its colors depending on how she feels any particular day. When she joined the Citadel, she began dyeing it blue, letting it fade to black completely, only to dye it blue again. She believes that the next time her hair is completely black, she's going to leave it black.

Mei's eyes are a vivid tart red, and her left pupil will contract and expand based on her interest in things. Her right pupil does neither of these things and seems to be a slightly different shade of red. Her sharp, pointed ears are pierced in multiple places, though she only wears stud earrings when on duty, and extravagant, unusual earrings when off duty.

When given the chance, Mei likes to requisition new clothing and prefers gaudy, 'loudly colored' clothing, as well as mismatched and tacky patterns. Her way of dressing is often referred to intentionally distracting, as well as obnoxious and tacky-- Which is the exact point. Off duty, Mei will wear any number of brightly colored shorts and pants, and tacky tank tops, and crop tops. Her ability accessories is a skill she's built her entire life, and it's not uncommon to see her with a plethora of bracelets, necklaces, earrings, hair clips, backpacks, wallet chains... anything she can get her hands on, really.
