  • Description

    Barric grew up with his father and older brother, Rathe, after their mother died giving birth to him. His father was heavily religious and made sure to instill his same faith and fears into his boys. He believed that humans were his god's work and that everything else were works of evil, meant to be eradicated from his beloved planet. All beings and creatures unlike him and those he deemed 'unatural' were seen as corruption and his boys were trained to deal with such monsters.

    Barric was a constant shadow to his brother, always wanting to walk in his shoes and amount to his successes. He was their father's favorite and not in that way that all kids thought their other siblings were the favorite. Rathe was Terod's actual favorite. He would push Barric to be more like his brother, to be better than himself, so when Terod died, Barric followed Rathe's teachings and commands, hoping to one day be good enough to protect this world.

    It was years later that Barric got into a scrape with a particularly savage looking man. The bloke turned into a furry beast and bit him on the leg, beginning his days long process of becoming a beast himself. It was grueling, to say the least, but he survived. The trouble about that was trying to explain to Rathe that he had become one of the monsters.
