Fatal Flaws are mental or physical weaknesses that demigods, humans, and immortals possess. These flaws can often cause the downfall of the being, but are particularly dangerous to demigods. In Greek plays, they are often referred to as "Tragic Flaws".
Not surprisingly, Max' fatal flaw is his anger. It feeds on him, eats him up from the inside to a point where he loses control, something extremely dangerous and yet he lets it. He feels powerful because of it, which is why he lets it seep through his entire being. His temper is dangerous and explosive, even the smallest thing can set him off, especially since he carries it with him at all times. His anger blinds him and keeps him from unlocking his true potential as well as really seeing others, even what is really going on around him. It makes him judgemental and ensures that he always only sees one perspective of things. The intensity of his fatal flaw ― or more accurately, the lack of control he has over it ― is at a point where it's not only a danger to himself, but to others. This lack of care for others' well-being and overall lack of morals is yet another flaw of his, though an offspring of his anger, just like his judgemental personality and hatred of others; but his other, true fatal flaw is how he never lets anyone close to him. As he will never let anyone close, never get to know someone properly, never let them get to know him, even learn how to be vulnerable again, he will undoubtedly let his wrath win in the end and let it consume him completely, ensuring his downfall.
