Jack Väisänen

Jack Valerian Couturier was born on October 29th in Lucerne, Switzerland. Child to artist Chersie Väisänen and up-and-coming prestigious lawyer, Richard 'Richie' Couturier. For the first twelve years of his life, Jack would call Lucerne his home, safe and secure from the dangers of the outside world. His early childhood was relatively happy! Delving into art, gymnastics, video games, playing outside, and doing usual pre-teen activites. Though unexpectedly to Jack, Richard had been offered a job that was too good to not accept. Because of this, the Swiss family would relocate to Vaasa, Finland. It was to be expected that Jack wasn't exactly happy about the move but when you're thirteen, there wasn't much a simple protest could accomplish.

To keep up with this new change, Cherise and Richard often weren't around to moderate Jack's participation into his own devices. Who knew that moving could be so costly? They were focused with providing for their family in order to live in an apartment and make ends meet in an uncertain, unaffordable, and unequal environment.

The boy never had siblings, thus spent a lot of his childhood alone. Chersie had chosen to hire a babysitter to keep young Jack in line, as he was becoming a defiant hellraiser. From the alcohol, friendship issues, and other typical adolescent issues, the boy was left to his devices far too often. Though when calm Jack was pretty straightforward with his interests. His mother, being an artist, made Jack quite interested in the arts himself! Drawing, comic books, and movies were some of the few things Jack would indulge in from time to time. The babysitter, named Roger Karvonen, was the son of one of Richard's co-workers. The aforementioned babysitter and Jack got along swimmingly, Roger basically becoming his stand-in uncle. The days were spent playing video games, eating food, and making sure Jack would actually finish his homework on time. For the rare occasion that Chersie and Richard were both home, it was often accompanied by continuous and seemingly never ending bickering. If you cared to question him about it, he'll often joke that bickering was the music soundtrack to his upbringing, among other sinister things he'll never admit to.

A twitch in the babysitter's moral conduct was something Jack could have never prepared for. Over a couple months, Roger had become exceedingly domineering, nasty, controlling and treated Jack like nothing more than an annoying fly. Jack had no idea what he had done to Roger to make him turn on him so hard but it troubled Jack deeply so. Though whenever Jack would mention this to his parents, it was often disregarded as "Bad days" or "It's exam season, you know?" Days after his fifteenth birthday, Jack had begun to be molested by his supposed caretaker. Nothing is more painful than having your innocence, dignity, and will to live taken away from you in such a short time. Jack attempted to inform his parents, pleading with them to provide him a foundation on which they could trust him. They didn't. Roger was an angel, and Jack was a troublemaker.

Jack tried to persuade himself that this was simply a part of growing up, but he knew deep down that wasn't right. For two and a half years, Jack would deal with the sexual and emotional abuse at Roger's hand. The days would melt together, and he'd fall into an extreme state of dissociation as a way of coping with the abuse. Him pleading with Roger to give up would never work In Jack's favor, and after awhile, he'd simply stop trying.

When Jack was seventeen years old, On November 7th, Jack finally had enough of his torment. After escaping such tight grasps, he had discovered a gun that his father had hidden deep within his office drawers.

and that was all it took.

The previous two years had undoubtedly been the worst of Jack's life, but murder...? It was a high, a thrilling experience! The sensation of finally taking back control after such damnation was addicting. Even so, there was an issue. Jack couldn't just walk away from the body. Jack had set a dumpster on fire that night with a sore and scarred body. An achy heart, and a need for revenge. With that fire, Jack pledged never to tell anyone about what had transpired that night. A case would be opened for the disappearance of Roger Karvonen, but nothing would ever come from it.

Jack's college years proved to be a turning point in his life. Despite his complicated relationship with his parents and the hardships he faced, he managed to graduate from secondary school and attend the University of Eastern Finland where he earned his Bachelor's in Social Sciences. During this time, he also decided to explore his musical side, taking up various instruments including the piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass guitar over three years.

It was during these years that Jack found his chosen family, including Nick, Leonel, Kristiina, Akseli, and Lindsey, who became an important person in his life. Despite his struggles with dissociation and anxiety, Jack was able to form meaningful connections and find support in the people he met.

After becoming a group of chaos on their own, Nick, Leonel, Kristiina, Akseli and Jack would form a band of sorts. While Jack hadn't ever had that much hope in their tiny band, their expectations would all be passed when a certain song would end up going viral towards the end of their final year of college. They were up and coming rock perfection, and Jack was nothing short of confused.

From moving to murder to potential stardom, Jack was a little lost.

When old enough, Jack would change his surname from Couturier to Väisänen. Perhaps to honor his mother, or to escape his past.

- Jack Couturier's mother, and Richie Couturier's wife, was a talented artist who lived life on her own terms. She had a beautiful and rebellious soul, and sought stability and consistency in her life. Although she may have fallen short in her duties as a mother, it was never with ill will. Jack longed to have a conversation with his mother once more, and would go to great lengths to make that happen.

-Father to Jack Couturier, wife to Chersie Mäkinen. Despite his warm appearance, his personality oozed self-importance and maybe a little drama. Being a prestigious lawyer could do that to a person, after all. Jack held all the grudges against Richie, as he was the one who usually thought that Jack was lying about his abuse. After the death of Chersie, and Jack's fleeing of Vaasa, Richard would move back to Lucerne, Switzerland. Though most communication was lost, Jack and Richard would touch bases every couple of months.

Despite Väisänen's striking androgynous appearance, his personality is equally intriguing. He comes across as clever, creative, intelligent, and quick-witted, with a curious nature. He has a sharp tongue and is direct in his approach - Jack is not afraid to speak his mind, except when he's nervous. He prefers to do things himself rather than letting others do it for him. Jack is at his best when he is in control of the situation, which is understandable given how he was stripped of it for so long.

If you're fortunate enough to be on Jack's good side, he'll tease you relentlessly, always making witty remarks. Moreover, he'll do everything in his power to keep you safe. If you find yourself caught up in one of his predicaments, rest assured that only one of you will make it out alive, and it won't be Jack.

Born on October 29th, Jack is a Scorpio, and he does embody many of the sign's characteristics. Scorpios are known to be vengeful and even obsessive, but Jack doesn't possess the latter trait as he knows all too well what it's like to be controlled. He'll do everything he can to avoid becoming his former superiors. Despite being vindictive, he can also be loyal, supportive, compassionate, and incredible in bed.

Jack maintains a strict persona change depending on his occupation and who he is around. Despite his job, he has not lost touch with humility. He occasionally ponders what it would have been like if he had not ended things with his babysitter, which leaves him feeling melancholic. However, it's worth noting that Jack is a hopeless romantic at heart, often offering physical affection, small gifts, and even the world if he truly loves someone. It was not unusual for him to feel nervous around others or disassociate during stressful situations. While he had confidence, he still tended to be a bit of a hermit, preferring to spend time alone rather than in social settings occasionally.
