Aahnik

When Aahnik first came into his godhood, he looked pretty different from how he does now. His nose was less defined and his facial structure was more rounded, masking his identity. His skin was usually lighter, hiding his origins, and his hair was usually cut short. However, when he learned about Native American tribes and their connections to the spiritual world, he embraced them and joined them, learning of their ways.
After years, he fell in love with the Natives, and made them his favorite ethnicity, granting them true access to the spiritual world and giving them a snippet of his godly knowledge.
However, he soon fell in love with a young man. They came together in the night and lived a somewhat secret life of passion. This allowed for Aahnik to become distracted, and before he could do anything, the Native Americans were being hunted by foreigners.

Not willing to give away the fact that he was a god to the foreigners, he refrained from using huge shows of power, but now, as he looks back on them, he wishes he had.



Now, Aahnik tends to distance himself emotionally from humans, unwilling to allow such pain and loss to overwhelm him again. And to honor the tribes he failed, he kept the defining features he'd fallen in love with, carrying his loss, love, hope, and despair with him everywhere he goes.
