The SummonerThrough profound and innate capability, Irene has uncovered that her connections with beasts exceeds the normal standards. If she has had adequate time to form a meaningful affinity and also a solid grasp of the creature and how it works, her inner magic allows for a replication of that creature to be conjured. It is similar to what a clone could be considered as, and when destroyed, dissipates from the magical construction that Irene had formed it from. If she does not follow both conditions and attempts to conjure anyways, she will come to find that her spell doesn't work or, if it does work, arrives as a half-cooked replica and is potentially dangerous to her as the spellcaster. Both the essence of a said creature and the intelligence of its design must be actively understood before Irene should ever attempt to create. This applies to both magical and non-magical creatures of the like.
Of creatures that possess a level of consciousness that could be equivalent to human critical thinking or above, Irene has the possibility of forming a warlock equivalent pact. While the same requirement comes for Irene to comprehend the creature, she and the entity can vow a pack of comradery may assistance ever be needed on either side. It can be freely broken by either party whenever chosen, and even if called upon, the member has an active right to decline instead of being summoned to the location. The bond is a means of existing in harmony with one another and furnishing aid as required. Along with that, if written out in the fantasy aspect, the bond will grant Irene abilities and access to magic that'd normally be locked from her as long as the connection remains. If it does sever, all communications and magic will be lost.
While great potential comes from her power, it also comes at heavy risk. May it be a conjured copy or a summoned ally; if any damage, mental or physical, happens to the creature, it also affects Irene. It is the price of making bonds and connections that are equal is if one falls, the other does, as is the price for balance in nature.
(Spells: Irene doesn't know a whole lot of magic yet without any meaningful pacts. While some were taught on the basic level, anything substantial is not within the repitore. It's likely she struggles to even understand the essence of most abilities because of how her internal magic works. Her power comes from the conduits of companionship and bonds with creatures.)
Kokoro the Familiar
Irene wasn't exactly sure when Kokoro had started following her around because, according to him, it had been years before she actually noticed. Unsure but uncaring of the situation, this strange opossum has been her faithful familiar since a young age. The odd critter seemingly way beyond the average intelligence of the species and all the same appeared to have a questionably endless life span. While most would normally find Kokoro a nightmare, Irene is quite the opposite, always asking for advice and guidance from her familiar in times of need. Even when getting the most sarcastic answer and potentially useless opinion, she still is under great pleasure to have him around to guide her. Having his presence is and will always be comforting in dire times. Not to mention that his small stature and seemingly obsessive interest in playing music had gotten the duo out of a few situations and a couple of extra coin as well.
Not only is the opossum physically useful, but he can also assist in casting magic. The twos souls and magical essence allow for any spells to have increased distance. Kokoro himself does not know magic, though, and is by all means without the assistance of Irene is nothing but a super-intelligent critter. (He does got one hell of a bite, look at those fangs!)
Occasionally the opossum will make a proclamation that he was an adventurer cursed into servitude after death for being too devilishly handsome or otherwise pissing off a witch one too many times. Sometimes wisecracking along that he will just leave Irene one day to go back to his ways and find a new human body to take over. Vowing to get revenge on the witch that cursed him so, and occasionally making demands that Irene deals with her instead if he couldn't be free. Of course, nothing ever came of the demands, as in partial that Irene didn't believe them and also she really didn't want to pick a fight with a witch that could turn someone into an animal for life. It also proved well enough that they both truly cared about each other, Irene offering the freedom to leave whenever Kokoro wanted, the opossum of course making an excuse that he wanted to prepare more before trying to take on such a heated battle.
What can be summoned?Well, quite literally nothing right now besides basic animal conjuring. As I roleplay with Irene here I will add possibilities of things she can summon with full journal write-ups. I want to have the scenes happen as it'd feel more authentic to the character, and rewarding when she can start making pacts with more powerful mythical creatures. So keep an eye out and maybe see something get added in real-time. For now, enjoy some fantasy art that doesn't have a place quite yet. ^^
