    • So excited for this trip! August 19th 2022

      My work has been noticed by some of Big Brother's colleagues in Old Sharlayan. Finally, someone recognizes what I do! Though, I am wondering a bit if it is because I happen to be his sister and not much else. . . what was the word for this? Where they want to give me a job because of that. I am not sure.

      Whatever. They are assigning a team to me in the Cieldalaes, so I think I will extend an offer to my new friend Lieu. She has been down on her luck lately and I want to do better for her. Besides, it would be good for her to start getting a source of income. I never expected to file taxes for a dependent that was not a pet! Not that it bothers me much. I just want to make sure she will be okay.

      I wonder who I will meet out there in the Cieldalaes? I have never been there before. I know it is a group of islands in the Rhotano Sea. I also know I am not allowed to bring anything back to Vylbrand, even rocks. But the geologist on our team gets to bring rocks back to Old Sharlayan. No fair! I will just have to ask her about it when we meet. . .

      Soon, we will be getting news about if we win the auction on the house in lower La Noscea. The real estate agent already gave us a tour. It is a lot harder to get housing if you are not a member of the Adventurers' Guild these days.

      My nameday is also coming soon. It is the sun after tomorrow, actually. I think having a good place for my family to live is the best present I can ask for.

      I just wish you were here to see it, Mother, Father. . .

      You see us, do you not? From your place in the realm of spirits? Are you proud of us? Are you resting easy?

      The ancestral shrine will be the first thing I put up. I love you both.
