Sarait is a tall woman, standing at the equivalent of 5'10" or 179cm. This appearance is augmented by her lean, thin figure, lacking in curves, and her long arms and legs. In her childhood, she was jokingly referred to as 'Spider.' Sarait's face, framed by waist-length dark hair, straight as a pin, is marked by large doe eyes and a long nose, set above thin lips and a strong, square jaw. Her eyes are the colour of a stormy sky. Her skin is smooth and olive in tone, with a very faint collection of freckles over her nose.

As a member of the royal family, Sarait has access to the most skilled stylists, tailors, and artists in the country. Though she despises overly opulent clothing, her clothing is still fine and well made. When not attending official engagements, Sarait favours simpler dresses with fewer layers, and on more formal occasions, she wears more elaborate, brighter gowns with more jewelry and embroidery. For activities - like hunting, or military engagements - Sarait pairs breeches or loose pants with a blouse, tailcoat, and cloak - though only if it's cold.

Often, her hair is pinned up in an elaborate series of braids or buns, up and out of the way. In court, it is considered informal and inappropriate for women of age to have loose hair. Set in or above that is a diadem: an ancestral heirloom, the seemingly simple piece is made of platinum elaborately wrought into a series of swirls and curlicues, absent of gaudy gems or gold.

Sarait's life has been divided into before and after.

Before: she was a bubbly, happy kid. She loved telling jokes and, though she certainly had a limit in terms of interpersonal interaction, was always fun to talk to.

After: she is cold and quick to brush off advances. She trusts few, and trusts slowly, for gaining it is quite the task. She is stiff, formal, and polite, having mastered the art of the impersonal smile. She has an aversion to physical touch.

After, while it may be a mask of sorts, put up for personal safety, is nonetheless difficult to crack. Under it, however, she keeps a semblance of the child she once was. While Sarait has certainly mellowed, with those she trusts, she may share a laugh - though this is rare. Not only that, but she, while slow to follow jokes, has a sharp mind. Games of strategy - whether in the war chambers or in a tabletop match of parve - are one of her favourite pastimes, along with reading. An introvert at heart, Sarait revels in solitary forest walks or rides. However, she also has a tendency towards arrogance. She may not realise that what she said was offensive, even if it was; this can be an issue for many.
