      "Admittedly, Blue didn't care much for being compared to a 'goddess' either, whatever one was. Rusalki knew no gods; they didn't even bother to collectively remember the Ancient that they descended from. Where many species remembered their creators or ancestors, the rusalki had no one. It was also just as likely that their creator had died, following the feral nature of their kind.

      Her shoulders squared as her posture slightly curled forward, though not enough to be on eye-level with Burt. She was still far from that, in fact.

      For once, Blue decided not to react in immediate defensiveness, though she was still on edge. She decided to use this as an opportunity to educate herself. She might as well even help out this strange, furry creature that had happened upon her beach. Thus, she presented the piscine skull to Burt, seeming to beckon him to take it. Whether or not he did, afterwards, she thus spoke;

      "M. . . MERRRR. . . MAI. . . D."

      It was a merfolk's skull.

      Next, she pointed to herself.

      "The rusalka was hunched over her 'work,' using her own claws to scratch against a large piscine-looking skull. It left disorderly marks that seemed random, but it might have held at least some meaning for Blue. Whatever it was, it was unknown. Given the wolverine's introduction, she also didn't seem keen on explaining herself.

      She rose to her full height, looking down at the little man with six cyan eyes. They narrowed dangerously as a crocodilian rumble came from her throat.
