Nora Faraday

The Vermillion Court was nestled at the convergance of the five kingsoms- a centre of royal politics and debate, and the focus of Nora's childhood dreams. To become the Vermillion Court Mage filled her desires, the great fortress and the prestigious position afforded to any who found employment there would be hers. A gifted and powerful mage, she climbed her way through kings and lords alike, all to achieve her goal of calling the Vermillion Court home. And that she did, by 22 she was placed in that position by the five great advisers, officially deemed not only the most trusted mage among the five kingdoms, but the most powerful.

Her journey to this position was not free from trouble, however. Abused, manipulated and used as a tool by many who would have once deemed themselves above her, the journey had left her bitter and resentful. She had achieved her goal following hardship after miserable hardship, revenge against those who had done her wrong would not relent their grip on her thoughts.

Although a natural brunet with brown eyes and average figure, Nora had altered her physical appearance through magic to better aid in her goals. After so much abuse and mistrust, the mage had decided to use the predictability of the nobles around her to her advantage. Silver hair, a new figure, golden eyes, she played the part of the court mage with a fierce demeanour. She was driven, respected, nigh unapproachable.

When word got out, however, of her involvement in the crippling of one of the five kings right hand, in a fit of revenge no less, the five great advisors agreed that Nora had lost sight of her goals, becoming brash and unpredictable, promptly stripping her of her position to be replaced by a noble-born mage in her stead.

Seeing no way to turn the situation around outside of starting a war, Nora decided to take the loss after 6 years of service to settle in an elven outpost, allowing her to live there under the promise of protection and secrecy to the outside world. Serving as an advisor once more to the local elves, she still commands an air of authority and control, but has sat aside her tirade of revenge, altering that passion to move into the next chapter of her life.
