Evander

Spring Manipulation:
Evander controls growth, plant life, and seasonal renewal. He can accelerate blooming, restore dying vegetation, and convert rot or decay into new life if organic material remains.

Life Transmutation:
He is able to reclaim corrupted or decaying environments, turning blight into fertile ground. This is not instant. His magic works through progression, not eruption.

Nature Conduit:
His power increases with proximity to living ecosystems. Direct contact (soil, roots, flora) significantly amplifies his power, magic and control.

Vine Control (Combat Application):
He can manipulate vines and plant matter for restraint, disruption, and battlefield control. By doing do, he can entangle limbs, trip opponents, or create moving obstacles.

Enhanced Agility & Precision:
Physically fast and controlled rather than brute-strong. Movements are fluid, efficient, and reactive, rarely wastes energy.

Weapon Mastery:
Rapier: Precision-based dueling style. Focuses on redirection, timing, and exploiting openings rather than overpowering opponents.
Bow: Predictive accuracy. Tracks movement patterns and anticipates positioning before releasing.
Dual Daggers: Close-range lethality. Fast, controlled, and designed for tight, decisive engagements.

Environment Dependent:
His power weakens in areas lacking life (deserts, wastelands, scorched or magically drained land). Minimal vegetation = minimal magic output.

Requires Organic Base:
Evander cannot not create life from nothing. He needs existing plant matter, soil, or decay to work with. Total destruction limits his abilities.

Fire Vulnerability:
Large-scale or sustained fire destroys his available resources and suppresses his magic, and forces him into physical combat.

Gradual Magic Output:
His magic is not explosive. Growth and restoration take time, making him less effective in sudden, overwhelming situations.

Sensory Feedback:
Evander is connected to the life he controls. Damage to surrounding plant life can affect his focus and stability.

Dependent Recovery:
His body performs best when connected to living environments; without it, endurance and healing diminish.




Faebane (also known as Bloodbane)
It is a powerful chemical weapon that neutralizes and suppresses powers and prevents natural healing abilities. When a Fae comes in contact with the poison, it essentially makes them temporarily mortal, susceptible to death as quickly as a human would die from an injury. It drains their powers and prevents their inherent magic from healing their wounds.

Form: Faebane is a blue, gorsian-like stone found in high mountain ranges. It is used in several ways:
As a fine powder that can be added to food, water, or dispersed as a mist in the air.
Embedded in poisoned ash wood arrows (ash wood also inhibits Fae healing).
Fashioned into shackles/handcuffs to capture and contain Fae prisoners, nullifying their magic.

Ashwood
Ashwood serves as the primary physical "Kryptonite" for all Fae.
Ashwood is lethal because it strikes at their two greatest assets: magic and physiology.
Neutralization of Power
When an Fae is pierced by or in close proximity to Ashwood, it acts as a magical grounding wire.
Magic Dampening: If any Fae is bound in Ashwood shackles, their internal reservoir of power is completely suppressed, leaving them as vulnerable as a human.
Nullification of Healing
Fae possess an accelerated healing factor that allows them to survive bodily injuries. Ashwood completely halts this process.
The Poisoning Effect: An Ashwood arrow or blade leaves a residual "poison" in the wound that prevents the Fae body from knitting itself back together.
