Responsibilities
A mafia fixer is responsible for discreetly resolving high-risk problems that could jeopardize the organization’s operations, reputation, or security. This includes managing sensitive situations, suppressing legal or public exposure, handling internal conflicts, coordinating cover-ups, and ensuring loyalty through strategic influence or coercion. The fixer acts as a direct asset to upper leadership, often operating with broad autonomy to contain threats and preserve organizational stability. Look below for the full list:
Damage Control:
-Covers up crime scenes (Murders, assaults, etc)
-Cleans crime scenes, removes bodies, removes evidence.
-Bribes or coerces witnesses, cops, or medical examiners.
Legal and Political Manipulation:
-Pay off judges, police, and politicians
-Uses leverage (blackmail, threats) to influence legal outcomes.
-Handles any legal trouble that might expose the family.
Internal Disputes:
-Smooths over conflicts within the organization to keep peace.
-Mediates problems between crews or members before they escalate to violence/Deals with it if it does reach violence
Silencing Problems:
-Threatens or eliminates potential informants, snitches, or rivals.
-Makes enemies vanish either literally or socially.
Cover Identities and Logistics:
-Forges documents, creates new IDs, buys off officials for safe passage or name changes.
-Helps people “disappear” when they need to lay low.
Intelligence Gathering:
-Gathers dirt on enemies (or allies) for leverage.
-Keeps tabs on law enforcement movements, upcoming raids, or FBI interest.
