  • Description

    Emelia Colhound, being essentially a corpse, is not entirely pleasant to look at to begin with. However, in being remade as a corpse inquisitor, she is even more unsightly. Prior to resurrection, parts of her arms and legs had been severed and/or damaged beyond salvation. As a result, she has prosthetic arms and legs made of a dark metal magically designed to interact with dead flesh. Highly complex, the arms and legs are connected directly to Emelia's brain, and also bare a significant number of gears and parts. The overall appearance of these prosthetics is akin to that of gothic steampunk. Her hands are made of a flexible material unknown to her, yet she can control their length at will, up to the point of making them claws. However, due to number of parts required to make the arms and legs function, said arms and legs had to be extended by roughly fifty percent. To support the weight of her arms, her spine, hips, and lower abdomen were replaces and reinforced with steel, which of course also lead to her body being elongated as well. This, combined with her metallic appendages, gives her an overall gangly stature that towers over most other humanoids. Scratches litter every piece of metal on her body, a sign of wear and tear.

    What remains of Emelia that isn't metal is primarily her head and upper body. To replace areas of rot or damage, patches of skin that do not match her overall pale brown complexion have been sewn in. What once was a beautiful face has been marred with scarring and stitches, and her eyes have been replaced more times than Emelia cares to count. Said eyes always end up as a stark white no matter who or what they come from, quite literally glowing from the necromantic magic that keeps her internal organs functioning. Metallic bolts, leftovers from her initial rebirth, jut out of the base of her neck and connect to her spine. The only feature of her that remains mostly original is her hair. Long and black like the night of a new moon, it extends down to her waist.

    To hide most of her ghastly features, Emelia wears a specially-made, Victorian-styled trench coat that allows freedom of leg movement. The sleeves of the coat are extended to account for her gangly arms and hands. Over her face, she typically wears some form of face covering that varies from setting to setting.

  • Talents/Strengths

    • Undead Soul - In being a zombie, Emelia does not need to breathe, sleep, or drink. In place of sleeping, she instead must enter an inactive state for 4-5 hours a day. She cannot dream in this state, and is fully aware of the events around her.
    • Undying - She has a higher tolerance for pain and can take small amounts of damage without flinching.
    • Unnatural Strength - The force generated from her mechanical arms and legs is great enough to tear down doors and break metals with relative ease, even without using metallurgic magic.
    • Unnatural Armor - With the exception of her upper torso and head, most of her body can be considered armored.
    • Metallurgy - Having studied it prior to her death, Emelia still has retained her penchant for it. Allows her to manipulate metals around her into new forms. Useful for repairing damage to the metallic parts of her body, and even changing the form and function of some pieces.
    • Intimidation - Emelia excels at scaring the wits out of people. Effective for interrogations.
    • Night Vision - Emelia can see in the dark.
    • Immunity - Diseases and poisons that only affect the living do not effect Emelia.

  • Weaknesses

    • Undead Body - In being a zombie, her wounds do not heal. She must manually repair them on her own.
    • Water - With little to no fat on her body to keep her buoyant and the tons of metal pieces that make up her arms and lower body, she will sink like a stone in any body of water. Additionally, rust tends accumulate after exposure, making it hard to move. In places like an ocean, water pressure can be fatal.
    • Stealth - The mechanisms in her arms and legs are not loud, but not quiet either. Her height also tends to make her stick out like a sore thumb, and her eyes emit a luminous light that is moderately easy to notice at in the dark.
    • Radiant Magic - She's undead. Of course the wrath of a holy being is going to hurt!
    • Fire Magic - Yep, still hurts, but now it hurts more.
    • Electricity - Being remade with so much metal incorporated into Emelia's body has made her a walking lightning rod.
    • Metallurgy - Despite being proficient at it, having it used against her can be extremely detrimental. Having one's leg melted out from under them is no small handicap. Her claws, strangely, are immune to this type of magic.
    • Diet - She can usually be stated daily with any kind of meat, but she must periodically consume the flesh and/or brains of any creature with similar or greater intelligence to that of a human, or she will start to revert to a feral state. Taking enough damage at once can also revert her to this state. She can regain her intelligence after consuming 4-5 recently killed intelligent creatures.
