His Story
Youth was carried through a series of trainings, fortunate only to have his mother for so long upon his journey rather than being taken and stolen away. Hera, a beautiful woman, to which Akija took a likeness after. She also was included in many of Akija's trainings. Under their dominus, the females and males were trained differently. The females took more to entertainment, household chores and pleasure training, while the males were trained in combat, manual labors, and services that required literacy.
As Akija began to mature, he was separated from his mother and placed amongst the rest of the males where combat became more prevalent. He wasn't the best at combat, there were certainly others more suited towards it, but fortunately he didn't have to be submitted to gladiatorial exchange at such a young age. By the time he was sixteen, he'd been purchased by a young and upcoming general, Solomon Kincaid.
Akija continued his training under the general, learning more about strategy, gardening, and basic household tasks. During campaigns or war efforts he always accompanied Solomon. The first time he had to actively go to war with his Master was the Battle of Asmar. A brutal and bloody war between his neighboring country and his own. The dispute was over resources and land, not such a new idea to the scheme of greed. Akija fought bravely, and his training under the General would prove fruitful. Not only had he fought, he also saved Solomon in the process after he had been injured and tirelessly strove to protect him.
Proven to be quite the asset, Akija was rarely left behind after that. He was always by Solomon's side until the man was betrothed to another. Jealousy grew to devastating heights to the point the woman, tried to kill Akija in the most dubious ways of accidents or poisons. After learning of these incidents, Solomon decided it would be best to allow Akija to serve another. He couldn't call off the marriage, but he could do what was best for the young slave. The young man was sold, available to the next master or mistress that wanted him...
