Ja'vassa Anair

The old Dragonborn often comes off as cold, harsh, and stern, though that’s far from the case. Beneath the calculating, serious disposition he often presents himself with, Ja’vassa is kindhearted and generous. He’ll routinely go out of his way to help others, rarely expecting payment in return, though he loathes people taking advantage of his kindness. He enjoys telling stories and will gladly ramble on and on and on until someone stops them, though it can often be difficult to tell if these stories are true or not. Ja’vassa strongly values honesty and strives to be as honest as possible, even if the truth might hurt someone. He firmly fights for what he believes in, staying true to his convictions even if others might not agree with him. Ja’vassa is incredibly arrogant and has no problem boasting about his power and accomplishments over the years; despite his own arrogance, he holds great hatred for those who boast without being able to back it up; believing that one should earn their arrogance before they begin bragging. He is incredibly intelligent, showing great aptitude for strategy and tactics in particular. Though he doesn’t agree with it, many consider him to be fairly wise and experienced. Despite striving to treat people with equality, he doesn't particularly enjoy interacting with orcs or Dunmer; the latter being considered ironic given one of his closest friends was a Dunmer. He especially hates lycanthropes; considering them to be filthy savages and loathes interacting with them. They're among the few he outright refuses to help unless there's some benefit in it for him.

In battle, Ja’vassa shows no mercy and expects none in return, always making it clear that only one of them will be leaving the battlefield. He is known for his incredible brutality and ferocity, often tearing his opponents apart. He can be especially cruel at times, often showing great pleasure in tormenting and terrorizing his opponents; he has been known to drag fights out longer than needed for no other reason than delivering his opponent extra pain. There is very little that’ll stop his advance; whether they’re begging for mercy or trying to run, there isn’t much that’ll deter his approach.

Ja’vassa adores children and can often be seen hanging out with the local children in the cities he visits; sharing stories and snacks with them, likely as a result of losing his own children, he’ll gladly put himself on the line if it’d mean keeping them safe. Deeply haunted by his past, Ja’vassa firmly believes himself to be well beyond redemption and as a result, he’s largely isolated himself from the rest of Skyrim. He longs to create new friendships and perhaps even start a new family, but fears of his past resurfacing prevents him from doing so; he’s terrified of being unable to protect them and to lose them just as he had so many others. Despite his painful loneliness, his insecurities and fears keep him from approaching anyone. He seeks a new purpose in life, though isn’t sure of where to look. Ja’vassa has a soft spot for cute things; specifically cute animals and often has to force himself from picking up wild animals and taking them home. He is borderline obsessed with Akaviri clothing, weaponry, and architecture; having recreated many Akaviri weapons and armor based on books and journals he’s discovered over the centuries.

His fashion sense can often be described as flashy, yet traditional and refined. His wardrobe consists of various handcrafted mage’s robes, Akaviri kimonos, and traditional Khajiiti robes with many of his options often being red, black, or white in color. He often reserves his kimonos for whenever he’s relaxing in his home or entertaining company, while his robes often serve as his usual traveling gear. Ja’vassa wears a variety of different types of armor into battle; his robes of Konahrik serving as his primary choice, but he’ll occasionally wear Akaviri inspired suits of armor, typically preferring heavier armor. He often arms himself with various one-handed swords; Goldbrand being the most common he carries, though he enjoys wielding katanas, scimitars, and the occasional war axe. While his body isn’t perfectly sculpted like a supermodel, Ja’vassa takes great care of his body and maintains it well; keeping a fairly toned, athletic appearance. His fur is predominantly silver in color with black patches, being soft and plush to the touch. Numerous scars decorate his body, some of them appearing to be quite ancient while others often appear rather fresh.

General Magic
Ja'vassa's mastery of magic is a large part of what makes him so deadly. Often considered one of the greatest wizards in Tamriel's history, the Dragonborn possesses a large variety of different spells that can be used for a variety of different purposes. In particular, Ja'vassa is especially skilled in destruction and conjuration magic, able to fire devastatingly powerful spells to decimate his foes while also being able to summon a large number of daedra to assist him on the battlefield. In addition, he is skilled in restoration, illusion, and alteration magic as well. The wide array of spells he can use gives him an edge of unpredictability that few could hope to match. His mastery of destruction, frost spells particularly, has earned him the nickname, 'Soul of Winter'. His arcane supremacy comes from a mixture of centuries of practice and study, along with aid and rewards given to him from Hermaeus Mora, Mehrunes Dagon, and Molag Bal. He is a master of enchanting as well, having given his arsenal more than a few powerful options, most notably the creation of his Infinity Sword and the Hands of Magnus. Being Dragonborn only increases his magical option as he's a master of the Thu'um, capable of applying his array of shouts into any situation he deems necessary, though he tries not to use them often. As a vampire, he boasts a natural resistance to disease and poison.

Conduit & Hovering Orbs
Sjel Blad Castle was often considered to be the center for magical innovation and experimentation in Skyrim. Ja'vassa and his former friends often spent days, weeks, sometimes even months developing new forms of magic and finding ways to properly apply it, whether it's for general use or to be used in battle. Amongst these new developments was the Conduit power. This would apply a magical enchantment based on the spell they had most recently used; giving the unenchanted weapon a fire, frost, or shock power. Though the enchantments were fairly basic, it gave his mages a new, somewhat hard to predict power on their side. With the three enchantments, they can fire off a one-time magical blast that boasts a variety of effects. The most important power is perhaps its ability to give the user the option to make a temporary, ethereal clone of themselves to fight with, however, any damage those clones take will be reflected upon the user. Fast forward a few years as they continued to experiment with the Conduit spells, eventually creating a new, more powerful version simply dubbed the Hovering Orbs. These spells create elemental orbs that surround the user, giving them a plethora of new options. When used with an unenchanted weapon, they can be applied to the weapon, giving it either a flame, frost, lightning, darkness, or light effect. Fire, frost, and shock can be taken a step further and morph their weapon into a new, more powerfully enchanted weapon. A shield can also be created, giving them protections based on the element used.

A fiery spear, frosty greatsword, and electrified bow are the default weapons, but when multiple orbs are used and combined, new weapons will be formed; a new lightning spear, electrified whip, dual chakrams, and more can be summoned. Though few have managed to master it, when all five orbs are combined, they can create a deadly chaos enchantment, making it exceptionally difficult to defend against it. Even more importantly, when the shield and enchanted weapons are used to together, they have the potential to trigger a temporary transformation. The used dons a set of enchanted daedric armor and a bound weapon, temporarily increasing the physical strength and defensive capabilities. Though the transformation only lasts a few minutes, the elemental powers linger for a little while longer in the form of razor-sharp claws.

Deep & Void Storages
Amongst the various innovations that had come out of Sjel Blad Castle were the Deep & Void Storages. They were both developed in order to avoid the necessity of having a traditional supply train in times of warfare. The Deep Storage was a personalized version of it, allowing the user to hold a near limitless amount of stuff in a mystical chest. Thing placed into the storage remains the same for as long as it's in storage, this includes food, potions, poisons, alchemical ingredients, and anything else stored. The Void Storage works similarly, allowing for users to be able to send supplies to and from Sjel Blad Castle, acting as the best option to communicate with allies and to resupply residents from great distance.

Physical Combat
While his magical prowess is perhaps what makes him most dangerous, it'd be foolish to ignore his physical capabilities. While his physical strength is nothing to write home about, Ja'vassa is a master of a wide variety of weapons and a master of hand to hand combat thanks to literal centuries of training and experience. One-handed swords are his figurative bread and butter, though he's entirely capable of using a variety of daggers, spears, polearms, two-handed weapons, whips, and much more to great extents. Though he doesn't prefer using them, he can make use of warhammers and battleaxes if he has no other option. Bows aren't out of the question for him, either. While he can't use them very well when in close quarters combat, he can effectively snipe people from great distances, precisely hitting them in vital areas or hitting them in places to slow them down.

Versatility & Unpredictability
Likely as a result of his extensive combat experience and training, Ja'vassa is incredibly resourceful and will use every single tool at his disposal. He'll use his environment, weapons he carries and the weapons he finds strewn about on the battlefield, his magic, and even attempt to use his own enemies to his advantage. His sheer versatility and resourcefulness can make it difficult for his opponents to predict what he might end up doing next.

Fire & Sunlight
Like any vampire, Ja'vassa is especially vulnerable to fire and despite the precautions taken to minimize the threat, he still has to be careful as even weak fire spells can be deadly to him. This goes double for whenever he fights in broad daylight; sunlight stunts his incredibly high magical prowess and damages his already average stamina, often forcing him to take a more predictable hit and run strategy should he be caught during the day. It also regularly forces him to find caves and old ruins for shelter when its bright outside.

Average Stamina
Determined as he may be, he can't battle for extensive periods of time as a result of his average stamina. He becomes considerably slower and sloppier the more exhausted he becomes; it's even easier to wear him out with frost magic or if you catch him during the day.

Magical Resistance
Thanks to his overreliance on magic and enchanted weapons, having strong magical resistances can make him considerably easier to deal with, though enemies still need to be wary of the weapons he carries, even with magical resistances.

Easy to Surprise
In spite of his strong sense of sight, smell, and hearing, it isn't particularly hard to catch him off guard or surprise him with even decent stealth skills. Stealth archers and would-be assassins can often catch him by surprise, though they aren't often successful in doing serious damage.

Average Strength
Despite being a master of many forms of physical combat, his strength is decidedly average at best. Those who are skilled in the art of blocking and close quarters combat can easily take advantage of his lower strength, though they still have to be wary of his great speed and agility.

About the Deep Storage
The Deep Storage is a crucial spell in Ja’vassa’s arsenal, it serves as a mystical storage container that boasts never ending space to hold items the Dragonborn puts inside it. He uses it to hold excess weapons, apparel, potions, poison, food, crafting materials, and valuable treasures such as Daedric artifacts, his Elder Scrolls, and other items he refuses to leave behind when he’s traveling. The items in the chest remain frozen in time, meaning items like food and drinks won’t spoil and will be as fresh as the day he placed them in the chest. When the spell is cast, a mystical chest rises from the ground and for as long as the chest is opened, Ja’vassa can freely place and remove items. Many of the weapons he holds inside it are largely used as backups should the ones on hand break or be of little use in the current situation, the apparel inside is often used when he needs a change of clothes, new armor. He’s always careful to ensure he carries enough material for any potential repairs to his equipment, soul gems for enchanting purposes, and plenty of ingredients for alchemy. Accessing the Deep Storage requires a large amount of magicka, meaning he can only use it so many times a day and he can only summon the chest whenever he’s out of combat.

Often considered to be his greatest creation, the Infinity Sword is a weapon of incredible power, owing to centuries worth of enchanting and blacksmithing experience, and inspired by his Silmeri blade. The blade is imbued with numerous fire based enchantments empowered by two blazing crystals embedded into the sword's crossguard and pommel. With a swing of his sword, he can unleash powerful gouts of fire, blast his opponents with deadly fireballs, and by sinking the blade into the ground, he can raze fields to ash with a large fire storm. Just wielding it will greatly increase the power of his fire spells and give him resistance to both fire and frost magic. The sword itself will burn its victim on contact. Finally, when he goes into a defensive pose, Ja'vassa can create a fiery ward, protecting him from incoming spells for a brief time. While the sword boasts great power, it's not without its flaws. Using the immensely powerful spells can quickly drain Ja'vassa of his energy, even when combined with the Hands of Magnus. The two crystals, while incredibly durable, are not unbreakable and in the unlikely event that they are broken, the Infinity Sword will become nothing more than a lifeless weapon. It took many years for Ja'vassa to get the enchantments created, so it'd likely just as many years to remake them. Though a one-handed weapon, it is relatively heavy, causing him to swing it a bit slowly. Because of its great power, Ja'vassa took several precautions to ensure it couldn't fall into the wrong hands. Some call it a curse, he calls it a simple protection spell; if anyone besides him or a select few attempt to take a hold of the sword, their hands will suffer from immensely painful burns that can result in severe, potentially permanent damage.


First discovered while exploring the Forgotten Vale during his search for Auriel's Bow, the Dragonborn had uncovered the blade seemingly being protected by an unusual frost giant. Information on Silmeri has been scarce, but it has served as one of his great weapons since its discovery and was the inspiration for his Infinity Sword. Presumably like its inspired counterpart, the source of its power is from the glowing crystal embedded into the crossguard. It controls both frost and shock magic, allowing Ja'vassa to fired off bolts of lightning and spears of ice depending on how he swings the sword, allows him to create bursts of frost and shock magic, and grants him a level of resistance to frost and shock. Using these spells can sap Ja'vassa's energy, though not quite to the extent of the Infinity Sword. Being considerably lighter than its counterpart, it's much easier for him to wield it.


Considered to be the sister sword to the Infinity Sword, this strange looking weapon offers an array of abilities depending on the time of day. During the day, it draws power from the sun, striking the undead with a fire similar to that of arrows shot by Auriel's Bow. At night, however, the enchantments change to more effectively damage the living. Mortal men and even living daedra will take extra damage with each strike. The Dragonborn is also capable of firing off waves of light and darkness to give him a ranged attack. Those slain by the weapons dissolve into piles of ash, preventing necromancers from reviving otherwise problematic corpses. The final, and perhaps most important enchantment the blade possesses is what he calls the Third Eye. When the sword's equipped, it's capable of warning Ja'vassa when potential danger is approaching, making it exceptionally difficult to sneak up on him.


Awarded to him by completing the trials of the Grand Paladin, the sword takes full advantage of his abilities as Dragonborn. The enchantment changes based on his most recently used shout; if he had previously used a Fire Breath shout, the blade takes on a fire enchantment while a Frost Breath shout takes on a frost enchantment. He uses the sword as more of a symbol of his position and of his heritage, though the sharp, sleek blade offers him an unpredictable edge.

Given to him by Boethiah after his victory in the Tournament of the Ten Bloods. The golden katana uses a powerful fire enchantment, though not quite as deadly as his Infinity Sword. With a swing of his blade, he can fire off fiercely hot gouts of fire, burning anything in its path. With the use of a specialized ritual, he can transform it into Eltonbrand, a slightly corrupted, but more powerful version of the weapon, though he rarely uses it as he prefers the appearance of Goldbrand.


One of his lesser-known creations, but it's every bit as deadly as the rest of his arsenal. The Mortal Edge is a viciously sharp blade that drains the life of his foes as they're struck with it, but that's far from its only perk. The blade surrounds itself with a strange aura, the physical manifestation of Ja'vassa's own malice and hatred. When he swings it, the aura extends the reach of his attack and is capable of slicing through nearly anything with relative ease at the cost of draining Ja'vassa's own energy; those struck with the blade's aura will suffer from severe bleeding. As Ja'vassa uses the sword, more of his own strength will be drained, so he must be wary about using it.
