Greg orchestrated Scott’s downfall with Charlie, one of his earliest successes at manipulating other people, pointing the way toward his future career as a successful salesman, and a rising executive in a large software company. He made sure there was extra alcohol at the party, that the non-alcoholic option was spiked, and that Scott always had a fresh drink in his hand. He made sure that one of the easiest, yet most conventionally-beautiful girls in high-school was primed and on board with seducing Scott. And he made sure that Charlie just happened to see Stacey in action on an almost too-drunk Scott at just the right moment, just before Scott realized that the girl he was with wasn't his Charlie.
