Darsey Allhallows

Kent is a county in the Southeast England region. The closest county to continental Europe. It borders Essex across the entire estuary of the River Thames to the north; the French department of Pas-de-Calais across the Strait of Dover to the south-east; East Sussex to the south-west; Surrey to the west and Greater London to the north-west. England relied on the county's ports to provide warships through much of its history.

Kent is known as the 'Garden of England', particularly for its blooming orchards and hop gardens. The county is an excellent spot for those who enjoy strawberry and hazelnut picking. As one of England's oldest counties, it is enriched with great history.

There has also been confirmed presence of early humans in the area between 560,000 and 620,000 years ago. It is the first dated evidence for human habitation in Kent since the last sever glaciation.

Since then, Kent has witnessed history unfold before its eyes.

Rebellions - countless number of them - including the Peasants' Revolt of 1381, Jack Cade's rebellion of 1450, and Wyatt's Rebellion of 1554. You might have heard of them in your historical reading.

The Allhallows settled in the Southeast England region back in medieval times; more specifically, in the year 1266 AD. His family intentionally settled on the shores of a marsh for the purpose of monopolizing the large-scale manufacturing of salt. Mashes are known to have brackish water and tend to have salt-rich sands and sediments from which brine was extracted from, concentrated and evaporated using process known as sleeching.

As his family grew their business and their fortune, they purchased the entire marshland naming it the Allhallows Marshes.

Allhallows Marshes cover 98 hectares (242 acres) of land consisting of grazing marsh with water courses, ditches, fields, dykes and hedgerows.

It was here in the natural beauty of their very own marshes they built their family castle.



In the early 1600s, the Allhallows family, thanks to the successful production of salt to the kingdoms of Europe, were recognized and ordained as Duke and Duchess of Kent.
- In the English court, the title of Grand Duke is the highest rank in the peerage system and is associated with great power and influence and often signifying a ruler of a larger or more prestigious territory.

Fitzwilliam was born the second son, the fourth child, to Daniel and Alice Elizabeth Allhallows on May 3, 1657. Though he was the second son, it was made clear to his parents very early that Fitzpatrick would be the son to carry on the family lineage. He was a natural born leader and was never one to be shewed away from his father's business dealings. Where most boys wanted to run through the ditches and fields in the pursuit of whatever game was afoot, Fitzpatrick preferred quieter games that allowed him to listen to his father talk. This was the beginning of his education.

He was sent to the best schools and had the highest marks. He took the lead amongst the boys in his school either leading them into mischief or helping the teacher control the classroom, which way that went depended greatly on is fondness of the teacher.

Childhood transitioned into adolescence and with it came the most anticipated moment of his young life - the awakening of his dragon. Since he was boy, he watched his family transform into glorious creatures of the sky and now, finally, it was his turn. All his family were black dragons. They had been since the dawn of dragons. But this is when the Allhallows learned just how special their second son truly was for Fitzwilliam Darsey Allhallows was born with the markings of a royal dragon.

Fitzwilliam was taken before to the most royal of courts and presented to the king of all dragons. After close examination, Fitzpatrick was accepted and welcomed into the king's court and crowned a prince. It was then his education in ruling began.

His education began with learning that there were six Primal Sources, enormous, powerful entities of the natural world: the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Earth, the Sky, and the Ocean and there was a prince born for each of them. A new prince is crowned only when a previously crowned prince dies. It just so happened that days before Fitzpatrick's dragon awoke the prince of the stars was killed by a hoard of dragon slayers. Therefore, the magic that was released upon the passing of the previous prince attaching itself to Fitzpatrick's dragon and creating a new Dragon Prince of the Stars.

Royal Duties:
The primary responsibility of a Dragon Prince is to act as a guardian and protector of their respective primal source - for Fitzpatrick that would be the stars.

For the lands that he governed he was tasked with maintaining balance in the natural world. Anything from mediating conflicts between different species in the marches, using his immense power to defend his territory from threats, and to prevent human incursions that might disrupt the natural order.

Humans managed to launch themselves into space in the late 1960s, but that was no concern of Fitzwilliam. Humans weren't savvy enough to reach the stars with anything more than a powerful Lookingglass. And that Lookingglass was not mighty enough to change the stars. His attentions turned from ruling from his castle to working his way into modern society. Step one: Lose the Fitzwilliam and adopt the name Darsey. Now that was a challenge.
