    After being mawled by Cerberus and trapped with no heals or food on floor 34, Cosmo had slowly begun the twisting process. Midway through the merge while he was still sentient, he had gotten stuck on barbed wiring in attempt to flee a roaming twisted, which fused to his spine and torso.
    Once the process was complete, Flutter had arrived at some point losing her legs to one of Sprout's tendrils, and with all the ichor she was leaking out had fused to Cosmo's wiring, forcing them to be trapped together. Due to the unnatural occurance Flutter had kept her sentience and is now forced to roam with a very territorial and feral Cosmo, her wings only serving to aid him rather than freeing her.
