Berhame Eclipse

Berhame is an average woman, nothing to say about, non practicing catholic from a quite conservative family. She grew up in a quiet wealthy environment and never had to complain. She has always been that good girl, that loves horses and has good points at school. She never even got a ticket for jaywalking, even less speeding. As a girl already, she quickly showed interest in negotiating and finding compromises and agreements for all kind of issues, so she made her life turn around that. She succeeded in a university degree and was quickly engaged in a governmental institution. She always said she ‘feels’ best agreements.
Never did she talk about that one night, she was 9 or 10 years old, during a heavy thunderstorm, when light went out, she felt like a presence in her room, she didn't sleep that night. Next morning the birds were singing again, nobody, not even her, thought about a curse on her. Nobody ever knew that during that particular night, a demon chose Berhame for his next host, Berhame that future negotiator. It's from that point on, Berhame always said to 'feel' the best negotiation result.
That feeling grew stronger by time, she started to ‘hear’, as if things were said to her, little voices talking about the ‘bad’ sides of those subject to official negotiations. Berhame, a quite intelligent woman, always with two feet on the ground, thought this to be normal, everyone has that, and she managed quite good to keep silence on these voices and to tame them when not needed.
What teenager doesn't hear voices during life, growing up into an unknown new world?

Little did she know that she had a ‘second’ personality inside her.
Yet she got that mentioned degree, and quickly worked as a quite successful negotiator, afterwards even demanded on bigger cases, international issues. And surprisingly all the time the two involved parties came out strengthened and/or "better". But she was really only, and only then, successful when she heard and listened to those voices, when she 'felt' that negative side. Yes, Berhame was only that good negotiator when hearing those voices, when listening to those voice. She hid the fact to be absent while hearing to the voices speak, by a well acted seemingly deliberating non-attendance. Nobody ever doubted about her obvious distraction, it was Berhame.

Nobody ever thought of those voices and feelings only as signs of a mental disorder, a Dissociative Personality Disorder. Is she schizophrenic?? Or is it 'just' that unknown darker side of her soul? Berhame knew how to hide this 'unusual' behavior.
If ever the absences were a psychological issue for Berhame, her superior intelligence managed for a long time that these voices stayed quiet when not wanted. But they grew stronger, with every successful negotiation. The woman had some suspicion, that it's all linked to those arbitrations, doubts came up her mind, should she continue or should she stop? Every time she listened to the voices, they grew louder the next time. Negotiations would instantly fail for worse, wouldn't she listen to them, wouldn't she accept that feeling that emerges during mediations. It was a reason to stop, and yet, satisfaction of success is stronger in Berhame. Must she stop ??
Nobody could tell her, she hasn't even someone to talk to about her suspicions. Due to her intense work, she never realized having searched or found her soulmate, she's alone...
