    A "sorcerer, specializing in necromancy." Fascinating fellow, if I do say so. I chanced upon him about to raise a dead man at the city morgue to ask him how he'd perished.

    Don't call him 'Tobi'! A strangely-colored Arcanine I met on my first evening on the isle of Olmeid. Helpful chap, if a little reserved.

    Met at the same time as Sethos, this person seems almost as chipper as I am! We asked a recently deceased man some questions with middling success.

  • History

    • Born a normal Houndour in the Kalos region, bred by a married couple to be a companion for their child, Sebastien. The Houndour was nicknamed "Doomy."
    • Shortly thereafter, the family came across a wild Noibat and took it in, naming her "Echo."
    • A few years went by in a peaceful manner, but when Sebastien reached his teenage years, he somehow convinced his parents to move to the Galar region such that he might enter into the renowned fashion school in the region.
    • Unfortunately, their immigration coincided with the modern rise of the draconic alien Pokemon, Eternatus. Sebastien's parents became swept up by the fervor after coming into contact with the Galar particles affecting both people and Pokemon alike. In an effort to gain more power, they trained Doomy and Echo tirelessly.
    • Sebastien, of course, objected every step of the way. When his parents subjected Doomy and Echo to endless drills, he tried to stop them. His parents, increasingly unstable, forced Echo to attack their own child.
    • Doomy was able to stop Echo, but in the process, Sebastien was mortally injured with burn and bite wounds. As Sebastien took his last breaths, Doomy began to evolve…
    • Untethered to reality, Sebastien's parents did nothing as "The Darkest Day" recurred, forcing Pokemon all over Galar to Dynamax and Gigantamax. Doomy's fate was slightly more gruesome, fusing with Echo both body and mind.
    • As Doomy-Echo lay there, the couple turned on each other and inflicted killing blows. No one came to help the family that day.
    • When Doomy-Echo awoke to view the carnage, he howled to the skies, proclaiming that his name forevermore was that of his slain friend's: Sebastien Destin Charbonneu. The newly-monikered Pokemon's grief, combined with whatever strange energy swirled throughout Galar that day, gave him the ability to take Sebastien's form.
    • He fled, living in the wilds of the region for months before finally emerging and being cared for by, ironically, another couple of Pokemon breeders. They told him about Eternatus and the heroes that had defeated it. Still nursing a broken heart, it took many years for Sebastien to learn how to act like a normal human, but he did so in the belief that carrying on was what his friend would have wanted.
    • One chilly winter day, Sebastien decided he wanted to return to his homeland. He boarded a train and took the long journey back to Kalos. The train never made it to its destination.
    • The tracks were frozen over in the northern region of Galar, causing the train to derail and crash. Sebastien's last memories were of an incredibly loud noise, being tossed out of his seat, and then… nothing.
    • When he awoke, he was on Olmeid Llopek, in the hot springs near the volcano. He decided that he had died, and this was his next life. Hopefully it would be less fraught this time!
