Though, if someone does anger him, he’ll show no hesitation in hurling offensive language and harsh insults towards the object of his anger, but once he’s calmed down, he’ll go out of his way to apologize to them. Mihara will always stand up for those he believes are weaker than him, gladly putting himself in harm’s way to keep them safe.

Full Description: On the surface, and perhaps due to his family, it’s easy to write Mihara off as another rich kid riding off his parents’ wealth. Considering the fancy clothing and the luxurious train he rode into Lumiose City, it’s easy to see why people think it, though he’s far from the spoiled brat that many view him as. Though prideful and arrogant, Mihara has a kind, gentle heart that never strays away from helping those in need. Even if his visit to Lumiose City was for vacationing purposes, he still made it his mission to give those around him an extra hand. He has a deep love for history and museums, happily visiting them whenever he has the chance. When he’s not busy battling or doing his usual work, he’ll often be found at one of the many cafes with his face in a book or reading various articles on his phone. Though he strives to hold himself with a calm, collective, and levelheaded disposition, he’s known for bursts of anger that involve hurtful language and harsh insults. However, when he’s wronged someone, he’ll go out of his way to apologize and make things right again. Mihara wishes to make a name for himself in the Z-A Royale to prove that he’s more than just his parents’ money. Of course, when the Royale isn’t active, he works as a detective of sorts, taking care of problems that Emma hasn’t been able to solve or has been too busy to take care of. He can be witty at times, often cracking jokes whenever possible, though most of his jokes earn annoyed groans rather than cheerful laughs.

Full Description: With his neatly worn hair and seemingly flawless skin, Mihara takes great care and effort to make sure he looks good, even if he’s not actively attempting to impress anyone. He wears a wide variety of fine clothing including kimonos, high class suits, designer shirts and jeans, though when he’s partaking in the Z-A Royale, he generally forgoes the finery for a simple black tracksuit with a white tank top beneath his jacket. He can always be seen wearing his Mega Ring around his wrist and his partner Pokemon, Meowstic, generally finds herself resting on his shoulder. He finishes his outfit with a red satchel, a gift from his first friend in the city.

Meowstic

Personality: A prideful, haughty Pokemon that takes great joy in showing off her abilities whenever she can. Thanks to her trainer’s success in the Z-A Royale, she’s had plenty of opportunities to show off and her own success in battle has done little to deflate her growing ego. Despite her slight self-centered nature, she genuinely cares for her teammates and is highly protective of them, especially of her trainer. Any perceived insult often results in her attempting to attack the offender. Once she’s warmed up to someone, she becomes highly affectionate and playful. She can often be seen clinging to her trainer’s shoulder as they travel the city.
Backstory: She was the first Pokemon he had obtained, having captured her during a family vacation to the Kalos region years prior to his arrival in Lumiose City. While his family was touring the Parfum Palace, Mihara wandered around in the tall grass that surrounded the route south of it. Without heeding their warning, he explored the route, though he wasn’t paying full attention to his surroundings and was attacked by a wild Venipede. Without any way to defend himself, there wasn’t much he could do besides hopefully outrun. After tripping over a stray rock on the ground, a wild Espurr had come from the bushes to attack the Venipede, not in defense of Mihara, but rather out of anger for the berries it destroyed while chasing the young boy. Even if she wasn’t trying to defend him, Mihara showered her with gratitude; giving her a few berries to replace that were trampled by Venipede. After their impromptu snack and after Mihara recovered from the fright, they decided to visit Parfum Palace together. His parents were surprised to see him with the Pokemon, but allowed him to bring her home. Since then, she’s become an irreplaceable part of his life, evolving just a few months after joining him. In battle, she possesses a surprising amount of power and like many other Meowstic, she boasts great speed, though her defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Gyarados
Gender: Male

Moves: Ice Fang / Hydro Pump / Crunch / Iron Head
Personality: Though Gyarados are often known for their destructive tendencies, Mihara’s Gyarados starkly contrasts the usual perception. Merciless in battle, though outside of it, he’s calm and collected Pokemon that generally prefers to nap or laze about whenever the team is resting. Don’t mistake his gentle nature for complacency, he will not tolerate any threats of harm towards his trainer, friends, or his teammates and will quickly respond with a threatening display. Gyarados will only obey Mihara, openly ignoring the commands of anyone else, regardless of how much he or his trainer trusts them.
Backstory: He was the first Pokemon that Mihara captured after arriving in Lumiose City. Initially found as an Alpha Magikarp, seemingly restrained on dry land. Mihara approached him with a care in the world, believing it’d be an easy capture, though that was quickly turned around when Magikarp hit him with Hydro Pump at point blank range. Seeing that it’d require a serious battle, he sent Meowstic to help him. In a surprising turn of events, it had become a longer, much more difficult battle than intended, though by the end of it, he was successful in capturing it. It didn’t take long for it to evolve into Gyarados and since evolving, it’s cemented itself as Mihara’s most powerful Pokemon and is considered to be his ace. For what it lacks in speed, Gyarados more than makes up for it in raw power and defense.

Talonflame

Moves: Brave Bird / U-Turn / Flare Blitz / Steel Wing
Personality: Talonflame is known for her seemingly never ending courage and inability to back down from a challenge, even if it seems the odds seem insurmountable, she’ll face them head on. She never rests when someone’s in danger, going out of her way to keep them safe. She often serves as Mihara’s eyes in the sky, often searching the city in his stead whenever he’s on a mission and will occasionally be used to deliver materials from a distance. She’ll always be the first to volunteer for battle. She is highly intelligent and often has a strategic approach when it comes to battling.
Backstory: She was met during one of Mihara’s ventures into one of the various wild zones around the city. Though unknown to him, she had been watching him while he was taking part of the Z-A Royale, admiring the way he and his Pokemon valiantly battled their way through the tournament. Unlike most alpha Pokemon he’s come across, she didn’t attack him right out of the gate and instead continued to observe him as he battled with the other Pokemon in the wild zone until properly challenging him, feeling he’d be a trainer worthy of her. At the time, she was only a Fletchinder, but had already cemented herself as the zone’s toughest Pokemon, having scared off many other trainers. After being soundly defeated by his newly evolved Gyarados, she grounded herself as a mainstay of his team and became an instrumental part of many of his biggest victories during his conquest of the Z-A Royale boasting incredible speed to make up for her decidedly average strength and defense.

Feraligatr
Gender: Male
Ability: Torrent
Moves: Liquidation / Crunch / Ice Fang / Rock Smash
Personality: Feraligatr has no shortage of confidence, though unlike Talonflame who approaches the battlefield with a plan in mind, he’s very much a “bite first, think later” type of Pokemon. There’s no thought or strategy in his head, he simply attacks and attacks and never lets up. Despite being relatively simpleminded, he displays incredible loyalty to Mihara and wholeheartedly trusts the commands given to him, and unlike the others on his team, he’ll actively take commands of those Mihara trusts. While protective of everyone on his team, he seems especially protective of Mawile, actively threatening strangers who approach her.
Backstory: Initially given to him as a Totodile from Taunie, he was a bit of a struggle to train due to his simpleminded nature, but had quickly cemented itself as a major player in his team, playing a role in nearly every major battle from his arrival in Lumiose City to his final showdown with Zygarde, he was there every step of the way. He was the first of Mihara’s Pokemon to achieve Mega Evolution, though he doesn’t often resort to it, often feeling Feraligatr’s own strength is more than enough to take care of nearly any foe.

Beedrill
Gender: Female
Ability: Sniper
Moves: Toxic Spikes / X-Scissor / Poison Jab / Drill Run
Personality: Protective, affectionate, but quick to anger. While she’s prone to outbursts of anger when she gets frustrated, she’s routinely shown to be fiercely protective of her allies. She’ll go to extreme lengths to keep them safe and never backs down from a battle, but much like Feraligatr, she relies on others to strategize for her while she attempts to brute force her way through a battle. She is motivated by sweets, especially pecha berries, craving them after a long, hard fight.
Backstory: Met during one of Mihara’s ventures into Wild Zone 15, being the leader of a swarm of Beedrill that inhabited the area. She spotted her future trainer first, believing he was encroaching upon her territory and quickly attacked. Despite catching him off guard, she was soundly defeated by Talonflame and added to the party. Though it took time for her to warm up to her trainer, she cemented herself as one of the major players of his team and is his primary user of Mega Evolution, using her combination of speed and power to her advantage, though she must be careful of taking too many hits.

Mawile
Gender: Female
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Play Rough / Iron Head / Fire Fang / Thunder Fang
Personality: Timid, reserved, but affectionate and cheerful. Due to past experiences, she takes a while to warm up to new people. Whenever someone unfamiliar comes around, she sticks close to her trainer or to Feraligatr. Though timid, she occasionally displays great bravery and will gladly jump in defense of those she loves, but after the battle ends, she’ll quickly seek out the shelter of her trainer. She refuses to listen to anyone besides Mihara.
Backstory: She was met after he had received a report about an abandoned, restrained Pokemon that attacked anyone who approached it. Concerned for the safety of passerbys and for the safety of the Pokemon itself, Mihara went to investigate it. He discovered the Mawile tied to a metal post, unable to move more than a few inches and in a position where the giant maw couldn’t reach the rope to cut herself free, but in her fear, she attacked anyone that came too close, including Mihara. Despite the attack, and a new found scar on his arm, he wasn’t deterred and did his best to help. In an effort to pacify her, he had given her some food. Though wary of him, he was slowly able to gain her trust enough to get close enough to free her from her restraints. Without anywhere to go, she joined Mihara’s team and eventually confronted her former trainer in the Z-A Royale. Her old trainer abandoned her after she had accidentally bit him during training, claiming she was more trouble than she was worth, though upon being defeated, the old trainer backtracked and immediately attempted to bring Mawile back to their side, but she refused. Her statistics are decidedly average, but she makes up for it with sheer determination.
